Does weapon activation status effect Defense/Defensive Index. I'd deactivate and find out for my self but I've been trying to reach level 4 for a while and don't want to possibly slow down the process. Thanks.

I'm like 90% sure it will lower your index if you deactivate

For the record it does lower the index...a lot. Thanks though.

ANDY CAN YOU ANSWER THIS?
All the docs say is it lowers the use of soldiers by 50%, so with out a response from the GM, one must assume it may or may not lower the index by 50% or more if the 90% john states holds true. also, If the weapon is not active then and the game does not count it as it does in some situations, then it would not contribute to the index at all. Lets see if the GM will clarify it. I too am quite sure it effects it, not sure how much.

I deactivated 100% of my defensive weapons and in 5 months my index plummeted from 168 to 118. And that is counting the fact that I began reactivation after the first month. It took 6 months for the graph line to bend even while I was reactivating. I would be very surprised if it was going to stop at 84(50% of the original 168 index). If I had to guess I would say substantially more than 50%.
