Monday, January 20, 2014 - 03:12 pm Dear Game Master, Could bitcoins and Litecoins be used to pay for the game as well as in US dollars. Bitcoins and litecoins are digital currency that you can use to buy some products and services around the world and can be exchanged into any currency i.e. US dollars / Euros etc. Here's a link to explain about them. http://bitcoin.org/en/

Wednesday, January 22, 2014 - 11:33 pm This sounds quite a modern move if he does allow it, especially since Bitcoins cost around $900 to $1000 in TODAY's money. They are expected to cost as much as $100,000! Astonishing right? The thing is that Bitcoin is user based and digitally based, and can't really be regulated by the government, as you can see in the case with China. Its a good investment to make in my fair opinion, but I'm too young and poor to invest.

Sunday, January 26, 2014 - 11:29 am will it be 1 bitcoin for how many gold coins? our gold coins are virtual money for a long time. maybe we should get paypal to accept them as a virtual currency. there is a problem with bitcoins. they are like shares in a non existing corporation. Their value is between the ears of the investor. I am sure one day, paypal, or Google, or .... will launch a virtual currency, give it a value and guarantee the exchange rates at all time. then, we will have a currency that is valuable everywhere.

Sunday, January 26, 2014 - 04:32 pm Andy +1 for a solid answer. Bit coins are just another way of duping the dumb. They are selling the magic beans from Jack and the bean stalk (they don't exist) lol sure they'll have a bit bean stalk that will keep growing, but once they realise its not magic and just a bit of data, they will be so far up it that the bit stalk will snap and they'll end up with nothing. I wish I had thought of it

Sunday, January 26, 2014 - 08:34 pm From what I hear, they are the very future of currency. I play another game called atWar, and they accept BitCoins, and they even sell their virtual currency at 0.001 per BitCoin! Its quite amazing, but it seems like the US and Europe are treating BitCoin well, China on the other hand doesn't have a face for them. I hear the US government confiscated many BitCoins and made a 30 Billion profit! BitCoin truly will have value in the end, and are becoming rather popular due to their simplicity in trading and not to mention that they are IMPOSSIBLE to replicate. I hope you see their website GameMaster, I think it will be rather convincing.

Sunday, January 26, 2014 - 08:56 pm Hi Space. Bit coins rely on two very unpredictable things....trust and energy. Both of which are in short supply in the world today. Also they are becoming popular because the darkside are using them. Hi Aussy

Sunday, January 26, 2014 - 09:11 pm impossible to replicate? i doubt that, its like saying no one could hack into a magor retailer, and steal credit card info as customers are buying Christmas presents... thats the turn off to me, its more like a digital credit line. although, i wasn't their, but i hear it was quite the controversy when countries switched to paper currency, and held gold in reserve. and after all this time, and tech, people still counterfeit, when something becomes digital, it'll only add another dimension of crime, for now, i just can't trust a computer generated currency.

Sunday, January 26, 2014 - 11:34 pm You cannot pay taxes with them any of them.

Monday, January 27, 2014 - 01:57 am there is a problem with bitcoins. they are like shares in a non existing corporation. Their value is between the ears of the investor. Reply reminds me of the U.S. dollar or any other fiat currency really. They basically have no real value. I guess at least you can wipe your ass with paper currency hard to do that with digital currency.

Monday, January 27, 2014 - 05:57 pm Yes, all currency is socially constructed and has no value outside of that construction.

Monday, January 27, 2014 - 07:46 pm The CEO was just arrested for money laundering and the website has been shut down.

Monday, January 27, 2014 - 11:17 pm Saw it coming for some time now, we're starting to exit the "MATRIX" & whether it be something called bitcoin or whatever comes next, human beings will find a way to break these chains of financial bondage..which our governments has placed around our necks.

Monday, January 27, 2014 - 11:34 pm Well Levi, me for myself am happy I dont Need to bring 10 Chicken eggs in my pocket if I want to get a bus ticket. Economy on large Scale can only work with a common currency instead of Exchange-trade and to abandon all currency will open up way more ways to extort a system as there will allways be someone who's looking for an advantage above the rest.

Tuesday, January 28, 2014 - 11:11 pm Well Borg Queen, The U.S. Government in union with the Fed can create money from nothing. Since the rest of us have to work for it but they can just snap their fingers and it appears. It does not sound like a equitable situation does it. In fact it is a fraud that just like a Ponzi scheme has to fail.

Wednesday, January 29, 2014 - 12:22 am End the Fed! Return of the Brenton-Woods Gold standard! -Just kidding...

Wednesday, January 29, 2014 - 04:50 am Here is the thing, economies go through cycles every time, and its complicated, because in the end, it all boils down to how consumers feel about the market. Even with a gold standard, it isn't perfect, and its more what I would want to call "Communist Cash". its based on how much resources you have, and it will still fluctuate with the value of gold, which can change with the Tinkerbell Effect (Look it up). Gold is a shiny yellow rock, and if people think its valuable, then they will make it valued high, and thus the effect begins. What we have today is god enough, and possibly better than the gold standard. We shouldn't even be discussing this, and if this digital game can't accept digital currency, it doesn't add up in my mind. Instead we should shutdown Fox News for their Conservative bias and propaganda and photo shop changes, and Likewise for MSNBC for its Liberal Bias. We should have unbiased and balanced news. Ha, Fox News, "Fair and Balanced", laughable non-sense.

Wednesday, January 29, 2014 - 05:38 am CrazyEye, the snap of fingers and magical appearance of money comes included with a lovely nationwide package of Inflation Nobody likes Inflation. Post-Great War Germany printed money (Magic) to pay its reparations to France... Later down the road a loaf of bread cost you around several billion Papiermark. It was cheaper to burn the money than to buy coal...

Wednesday, January 29, 2014 - 05:54 am I like Fox News, it's funny to see them spout rascist things about Obama and liberals. It's also gives us all a chance to laugh at those tea party hicks.
| |
Wednesday, January 29, 2014 - 09:59 pm Oh yes it is LB Musty, I will give you that one! Have you seen the wikipedia page on Fox News and their controversies? Its hilarious, they changed the faces of liberals to make them look "unlikable". There is even a book on that. But truly, someone needs to say it out right on Fox News cameras live to say how "fair and balanced" Fox News is. News Agencies were made to give accurate, up-to-date information, and to be unbiased, not to be propaganda machines.
| |
Thursday, January 30, 2014 - 08:27 am As long as Fox News exists there will always be an intolerant, bible thumping, right wing in America that will try to block any social progression. That's funny about the Wikipedia page, I'll check it out.

Thursday, January 30, 2014 - 01:50 pm Is there something wrong with American Conservatism?

Thursday, January 30, 2014 - 02:15 pm I have an issue with the whole left liberal versus right conservative barrier altogether. Laws and ideas should not be judged on whether they skew "left or right", "liberal or conservative", "MSNBC or Fox News". They should be judged on whether they benefit society as a whole. At some stage Americans forgot that - now they're too obsessed about whether a policy suits their ideological beliefs to care about the pros and cons of it.

Thursday, January 30, 2014 - 04:16 pm Well said Tom. I would go even further and include Religion, Socialism, Communism, Environmentalism, Capitalism etc etc......All the main forces of society should sit around the table and vote on the best policies for society. Yes it would take a while before anything would be done, but Rome wasn't built in a day and change should take longer than 5 minutes after a new leadership takes over.
