Lotato | Tuesday, October 15, 2013 - 04:46 pm Should defensive weapon systems be placed into units in military bases like missile defense battalion (and then it would appear in country map) , or as garrisons in different cities, forts and corps etc? if its in the military base can it defend other areas in the country? thnks! |
Roving EYE | Wednesday, October 16, 2013 - 12:43 am OH MY our experience matters so little.....the little fool says.................. nope don't waste your time with garrisons haha , don't even waste your time with interceptor units now........times are changing but no one listens hahaha fools...geeta a load of helios and light tanks..........and a shit load of SUBS that d=stuff under war stuff right................oh my im sick............aye |
Lotato | Wednesday, October 16, 2013 - 10:28 am i need some sensible answers pls thanks anyway @Roving EYE, i hope you recover soon and wont be like Mr.Leanpeat |
Christos | Wednesday, October 16, 2013 - 11:11 am I'm no expert but from what vets say you should keep fort garissons at a minimum (perhaps Jeeps or LT - LA). Load the nukeable site (capital, cities, bases) garissons with Nuke Defence Batts, MIB, DMB and less AAMB. And if you can spare them set up a few missile def units and upgrade them. |
The_Wicked_Lady | Wednesday, October 16, 2013 - 03:15 pm Mr. Lotato, in the Roving Eye's defense and others who now talk in riddles....... or ditties :P You come into Simcountry normal. After years of play, it changes you .... need i say more??? What you need to be concerned about is the moment you begin to understand them!!!! ha ha ha ha |
Molotov | Wednesday, October 16, 2013 - 07:30 pm @TWL you are speaking the truth about this talking in riddles, sh*t kinda scares me lol.. I just hope i never lose my sanity & god forbid finally understand them! |
Lotato | Thursday, October 17, 2013 - 01:00 pm @TWL i thankfully dont and wont try to understand them x)its really wierd, especially mr.Leanpeat i cant understand a crap from what he says , its irritating but i wont bother no more so that Mr.Lotato will remain healthy speaking on topic, the new defensive units that i set up eg. Division/battalion , which areas of the country do they defend, i know that they appear on map but whats the difference between these defensive units and the garrisons in cities? i know that setting up helicopters and interceptors with radar plane will protect the whole country against attacks but what about defensive land forces i set up like missile or land defense forces thnks! |
thewhy | Friday, October 18, 2013 - 02:27 am the ground defensive weapons dont have auto response capabilities like air wings stealth fighters and conventional missiles..... the garrisons defend the target however you must destroy the garrison of the targets you wish to destroy... this costs weapons ammo and time.... defensive units just sit there and wait to be attacked..... they are useful for blocking the movement of enemy ground forces however but forts with garrisons also serve this purpose... i think as far as defense goes you want to focus on air defense as your main line (helos and interceptors) as some vet once said to me "if you plan on losing air cover you plan on losing the war".... with that being said jeeps are still cheaper then most ammo used to destroy them so go ahead |
Andy | Wednesday, October 23, 2013 - 05:16 pm Currently, if anyone plans to invade your country he will have to move past your fortifications and also, will have to move around your defense units or fight them and move past them. Blocking an invasion is essential as your enemy is gaining damage points by conquering areas. Mobile defense units (using professionals and you need gold coins) will protect an area around them. when a city is attacked, within range of the mobile defense unit, it will participate in the defense like the garrison does.. |
