Monday, August 26, 2013 - 04:37 pm I am starting this thread for fun. You know how songs bring back a memory or how you can connect. Share your favorite songs here and what they mean to you or a song blast of the past. Here is my first contribution: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VLFfSDEA26o I was ~16 yrs old, and me and my cousin, used to ride the rural roadsides in the souped up silver chevy chevelle of this guy named Earl, partying. :S This song used to always play and to this day reminds me and my cousin of Earl, wherever he may be today.

Monday, August 26, 2013 - 10:53 pm Well here's a song I remember from a club, Club La Vela, that me and some old college friends of mine went to down in Panama City (after I graduated). Some friends of ours had a condo on the water and and a nice boat/dock. We got some great pics. We swam wif the dolphins. We had a blast that trip. EXCEPT some goofy dude from Tennessee that I knew from my reporter days, was going to be there and he had met us at Club La Vela. We spent the ENTIRE night trying to ditch him. ha ha ha ha No, lol we "tolerated" him. He was just rich and spoilt. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1XYHpsuaQ7s

Tuesday, August 27, 2013 - 01:14 pm I havent taken time to learn how to post website-address-direct-stuff yet, but some of my favorites, which you will be able to find on youtube: All of Warren Zevon. Back when my brother and I were friends, we used to sit and drink whiskey til the wee hours listening to his music. Actually, one experiences it more than just listens to it. All Creedence Clearwater Revival. I was a lad when their music was being made, and it is part of the soundtrack of my boyhood. Toccatta and Fugue, by Bach Der Horst Wessel Lied, and "panzerlied". Yeah, I know, but it is stirring music. Most of Don Williams. More music to drink by. The old Irish ballads of my ancestors (See above) Some southern Gospel is really great, too. AC/DC Most of KISS Some of Wagner's stuff is pretty good. Hall of the Mountain King, by Grieg. Most of Johnnie Horton. All of Johnny Cash. All of the Statler Brothers. Bohemian Rhapsody, if played at 150 decibels or so. A lot of Lena Horne's good music. By now you can see that my taste in music is eclectic, to put it mildly. How now, thou Wicked Lady, is this list long enough?
