The units are described in many details in the mobile unit's document that is part of the simcountry documentation. You can create your own mobile units in the same way other units are created but you need professional soldiers and officers. The main features of the mobile units are: - The units are smaller and their structure is fixed. - The units can be upgraded to a higher fighting quality than regular units. Max quality level is 600. - The units can be loaded onto cargo shuttles and can be transported to a different country, or to the space market and can be traded. (This feature will be added on January 15). - The units can be used in wars in any country. The owner of the units can move them to one of the countries in any of the owner's empires and use them in war. 2. More Mobile Units features The ability to load mobile units onto cargo shuttles and transport them and the ability to trade such units on the space market will be added on January 15. More types of mobile units will also be added in the coming weeks. Two additional mobile units may be added as soon as Jan. 15. These will include mobile air force units and later also intelligence units. Details about these units are in the mobile unit's documentation. 3. Military Units Pages Many of the military unit's pages have been improved. This is part of our effort to upgrade to simcountry site. 4. Quality of Military units and weapons When weapons and ammunition were moved from the country into military units, there used to be a change of quality. Quality reduced when the weapons were moved into units and increased if the weapons returned to the country. The quality changes were reduced several times in the past months and are now eliminated. The quality of weapons and ammunition is always averaged when weapons are moved. The new quality is the (weighted) average between the weapons that are being moved to some target and the weapons that are already at the target (where the weapons or ammunition is moving to). This averaging remains unchanged. 5. Simultaneous Wars The number of simultaneous wars a country can run is now 15 on all worlds. The number was lower on some worlds and is now increased. |
