Hey guys

Looking to get some help. I have a 164M pop nation. Its welfare is 110 and education is 152 but for some reason as the pop is declining the LLW workers keep increasing.
Right now i have 16M LLW in my 164M nation. Dispite my education level and setting i keep losing more workers of all types well gainning LLW. This strikes me as odd being the population is decreaing yet LLW keep increasing.

anyone have any ideas or know anything about how to handle this?

There is a soft cap to the number of unemployed workers that remain in any category. If you are above this cap, you'll slowly lose workers in that category until you fall below. The workers then become LLW.

I mean it could be that you don't educate new workers in a category above this cap, causing increasing numbers of LLW. Either way is the same result.

This is a guess given that I don't know the full situation.

That makes good sense Scarlet, except for Super was saying in chat that he was getting shortages in some worker catagories while amassing LLW. So he's not reaching the soft cap in those groups.

Now Super aint a noob, so its fair to assume his ed and priorities arent the problem. The next thing that comes to my mind is that maybe his population is getting too young to support the number of senior workers required, and this is why most of them are starting off their lives as LLW. They're still kids lol.

Well, I'm assuming it's the same problem as in this thread: https://www.simcountry.com/discus/messages/9/20942.html?1351367355

At some point over 60 mil population your population growth will go negative, the exact point is determined by your Health and a few other factors that were not made clear; but for certain numbers like 110 and 152 are way too small for that size of population. At 90 - 100 Mil, I have 161 Health and 181 Education and still loose about .012% of my total population every three game months.
