Neppty finally after much hard work and dedication made a chat connection last night!!! BRAVO!!!
I am sooooooooooooo excited! I have seen new players come in and get good game advice from players like Orbiter and Serpent. I tried, but they weren't quite as interested in my advice on shoes...oh well. :S
Keep up the great work!!!! I'm proud of ALL of you! Except Crafty, he ignored my plea yesterday to drop by. Oh and Andy is gonna be in trouble too if he doesn't make another appearance and support our efforts. I'm about to start a daily email campaign to the GMs. ha ha ha |

It would be entertaining if there was a Pool of Topics everyone could contribute to, and a bot would choose one at random every hour. That would get things going.

Dear Sim Community,
I would like to thank all of you for supporting the chat and bringing the forums to life. It is nice to see people talking and threathening to kill each other lol
I think it is time for me to go. There was something that happened today in chat, that I find concerning, and I feel that it is in my best interest to leave the game again. I am sensing a resurgeance of past behaviors towards me of players coming into chat under "new" names playing nasty games. I was asked by this player, Kain1900, if I was being paid to promote the chat and forums. To answer this, no. It was something I wanted to see restored to the game, something I used to really love about this game - Some good natured, friendly fun.
I will pop in from time to time to say hello, throw an occasional shoe and a death threat lol
After my conversation with Kain1900 of the former LDI, I have made my decision to not play the game as I had intended after the holidays. I want to thank all of those who reached out to me and asked me to join them. I wish you all well and happy gaming.

I love all you people to pieces. It is truly why I don't stay away, forever. But I told myself, if I ever felt "upset" by something in chat again, I'm not going to stick around and take it again. I will leave for health reasons. I have enough stress in my real life and all I really expect when I come here is to laugh and have fun. Maybe I'm overreacting, but I am seeing things I don't like and remind me of what I hated so much from before and the reasons I left. I don't have the energy to argue and I don't have the capacity to ignore. lol
As for this person, Kain1900, a former player in the LDI, whoever you are, well that is too close to the people that BrokenAmbitions claimed were her friends. I tend to think she created them to validate her claims of being "WildEyes", but I'm not playing these sick games with her again or having unknown named players come in and attack me again. I was told by Serpent that she emailed him to say she is coming back and Wendy said she is back, so I tend to lean that this is her influence.
This isn't one of my "i'm leaving" tirades of the past. I hope you all understand, and I also don't expect that many are too concerned with whether I stay or go. My biggest hope is that the new players who come can enjoy the game like I used to before it all went ugly. Simcountry is really truly a unique game, and a lovely community for the most part. It is just a few bad apples that ruin it for some people.
Josias, I am too glad that we patched things up. I think that if I am involved in the game ever, I just need to keep it at a social level, given my health condition. I'm just not tough and seasoned like all of you. :P I will talk to Bobo and get back with you.
Laguna, that is so sweet of you. You and a few others are what makes me smile here.
Anyways, I'm taking time away for the holidays and to spend with my godchildren. I wish all of you a Merry Christmas and special time with your family and loved ones. I sure hope that 2013 brings in many blessings for all of you.

wee, glad your still here kiss. Im around always, but not as frequent as you. But i do check in from time to time just to see you guys,... gals. Wendy.. your a bitch in the game but thats what help's keep it alive, you too kiss lol.. not so much me kiss, but to others and thats awsome. Wendy in person is awsome as well, we acually share alot of common intrests, yet we fought. I came to know her to hate her, then came to like her on MY own terms. Steve is an awsome guy, helped me every step of the way, dude, you are SC king , good friend of mine. try to stay in touch will ya.... lol. Actualy, looking back at all of yous... now that i dont play, its an awsome group. its a small dedicated group of say 5 or 6? that REALY keeps this game alive! wendy, kiss, steve, cp(he still around or on another 1 month vacation), used to be wild, think she gave up, who cares shes nuts(my own opinion).. talked to josia(forgive me bud, not correct spelling but you never talked to me before till last night... but you too are in it for ever it seems. Super Soldier, hes a descent player, always thinking of the math of rhe game, jeesh if i forgot anyone that is still around and played the last 3 or more years forgive me, this is just off the top of my head. Ill be back.. night Homerdome oops my bad, how could i forget jackseptic, dedicated player and will also be in the annals of time, good job bud!

To be fair that question followed the statement, "Well chat is alive again, I've done my job."
Not sure why you make so much of a player coming to chat and talking. The player wasn't being abusive from what I saw. Just had a few opinions on our conversation that day from what I am aware of. Not everyone is Jess/BA/Wild that knows some game history or disagrees with you Kissi. You're placing too much emphasis on that.
I know the thing with wild and that history too, but the conversation with Kain wasn't even close by a lunar mile. CC was there I am sure he can confirm.
You don't have to leave but that ultimately is your choice. You can't always place the blame for your wanting to stay or go on a chat session where absolutely nothing happened to you. |

How do you "know" so much about this conversation? You left. I don't have to get CC's opinion. I have my own. I don't even have to get "your" approval. As I stated, I may be overreacting, but I'm not going through all this again. I have stated my concern and how I feel, as is MY right.
I don't believe I stated anywhere where this player said anything inappropriate. As to the "job" reference, which didn't upset me, by the way, I just wanted to clear up something that would be a false assumption in this game.
My argument is this. I stated that I didn't enjoy a "new namer" coming in and stating their mind, quite eloquently and knowing so much about me. I have no time nor any inclination to participate in this juvenile behavior again. Matter of fact, after this post and because this conversation was one in follow up to a heated discussion that you and I had, I have to wonder if perhaps, it wasn't "Jess" related but Wendy related. Don't think I'm stupid to not know you play similar games. :-)
My fault? Yes, in part, because I allowed it in the past. But I do thank you so much for your kind words and concerning post. I'm just not interested any more.
Anyways, no more drama on this. Merry Christmas to you all. There will be no future replies by me.

Let those of us who are offended by opinions not allow those who are not offended to get in the way of the main goal, and that is to have interaction among players to build international politics, Global Patriotism, and overall fun interaction. We want to fill the world of LU with active dedicated players. My personal opinion is this. Wendy is the most dedicated player in this game. That is not to take away from any other player, but I can see her passion for the game. In my mind from all of her posts she just wants people to just be as real as possible in an interactive game as you can. We know because this is a game we assume role playing roles as Kings, Queens, and Presidents or nations and Empires, and we will speak in the manner as if we truly were these heads of State. But we really should see things for what they are and deal with them accordingly. This is my opinion. I am not trying to hold any sway over what anyone does. This is my personal opinion from my observation. Now with that said. Join the NLUO, and Love LU!!! |
