Michael VII | Wednesday, November 21, 2012 - 08:51 am I read the following and it tweaked a nerve: >3. President Pic & Flag Status: Please read our >response [ top ] >Detailed Description: >I recommend that when one country takes over >another, the leader country presidential >picture and flag be automatically transferred >to the losing country's profile. >15 gamers voted for the proposal. >4 gamers voted against the proposal. >The proposal has been ACCEPTED. >W3Creative reaction: >Not all president want this and they will have >to restore lost pictures. The effort is >minimal. It should be done as an option. This >is now on our wish list that is loaded with >very urgent features. So, if we have the capability of voting on a proposal and even if 1 (one) leader says "no" then it invalidates the "accepted" status of a poll? Why even bother to poll and vote. The idea does require minimal effort, but it is something we should not have to bother with. We already chose a pic, you chose the flag (which I know we can change). Then just allow them to follow the player. I have found that the creative team finds the most minute and vague reasons to negate a player approved proposal. And some of us are premium players |
Mizore | Wednesday, November 21, 2012 - 09:17 am I imagine the purpose of having things voted on is to give them an idea of a suggestion's popularity or unpopularity, not to determine whether or not a suggestion is implemented. In other words, the management has complete veto power. |
sbroccoli | Wednesday, November 21, 2012 - 10:41 am The no votes had no effect. What the feed back says is that the flag thing is a 'nice to have'. Not a 'need to have.'. And since the list of 'need to have's is allready very long, they give the flag thing lower priority. I think that is fair and sensible. I would hate to see them spend time on eye candy stuff while - for example - the world market pricing is a total mess. |
Andy | Wednesday, November 21, 2012 - 02:57 pm Many changes and additions to Simcountry have their roots in voting. Especially, items that have been voted by a very large majority and many votes, are taken especially seriously. (50 to 1 is quite convincing). However, the development plan is decided by the W3creative management. |
Crafty | Wednesday, November 21, 2012 - 10:02 pm I call for a vote of confidence in the W3C management ;) |
Michael VII | Thursday, December 6, 2012 - 09:58 am To Mizore: Ya think? To Sbroccoli: Your argument has validity and that is why I recommended the minute change. We have more important things to consider than having to upload the same player info for every country. It is a waste of time when we can use that time for a more positive gaming experience. To Crafty: We know what the end result will be, but like Mizore mentioned: "the management has complete veto power." |
Crafty | Thursday, December 6, 2012 - 02:25 pm Look, they've said its on their wish list, the urgent one at that. What more do you want? Should they drop all development to fufill the every whim of players? It's not a hard thing to do yourself, give me a break, "It is a waste of time when we can use that time for a more positive gaming experience." Please... |
Drew | Thursday, December 6, 2012 - 07:44 pm I've put several things are for voting and voted several times (zombies). The amount of impractical things that go into the polls is crazy. I myself put something I knew would be far too much work. But then I also put something up that was changed within a week. There are things they change and things that take time. They are good suggestions and bad ones. Typically the only one's I see fail the vote are one's that are actually VERY controversial (a fictional government type addition I believe passed). It would be silly to change the game after something the company thinks is a bad idea because 25 players voted. |
