Josias | Tuesday, November 6, 2012 - 06:35 pm 2. Quality changes when weapons enter or exit Military Units [ top ] The quality of weapons and ammunition undergoes a change when the weapons or ammunition is entering a military unit. The quality now declines by 10%. When units are dismantled, the quality increases back to the previous level. This process is linked to the max quality of produced weapons and the max quality of military units. It used to go from 100% to 50%. This percentage was reduced in the past and reached a 20% decline level up to this week. It is now reduced to 10% and it will disappear completely within several weeks. The gradual decline became possible with the increase in maximal quality of military units. More increases in that maximum level are underway. ***** so, this temp, decline in Q. is 10% when you create the unit, and create the supply unit.... the question is... do we still get this 10% decline, in the transfer from the base to the supply unit, and again, from the supply unit to the fighting unit? i don't care if it is or not, just want to know. |
sbroccoli | Thursday, November 8, 2012 - 10:01 pm Exactly how is cashtransfer going to be handled between to empire nations if the cash-transfer in the empire menu is cancelled? Does one have to do a cash-for-nothing trade offer with the other empire nation? If so, then I think that is no improvement as it requires three actions (offer, nation change and accept) contrary to now where it's only one action. |
Andy | Friday, November 9, 2012 - 01:14 pm Cash transfers can be taken care of in the direct trading system. it is easy to move cash out of countries into the account and into countries from the account. |
Andy | Friday, November 9, 2012 - 01:21 pm When weapons and ammunition is moving from the country stock into any unit, the Q declines by 10% (will disappear in the near future). There are no repeated declines when moving from one unit to another. and there is one single increase in quality, when weapons move from any unit, back to the country storage. But: if the supply unit has weapons of low quality, the weapons that are being transported average their quality with the supply unit. (weighted average). If the supply unit has small numbers of weapons, the influence will be small. After the transport, the supply unit may end up with a much higher quality and the transported weapons with a small decline in quality. This has nothing to do with the 10% change. It is a good idea to upgrade the quality of your supply units. same with ammunition. |
Josias | Friday, November 9, 2012 - 05:35 pm thanks, andy |
sbroccoli | Friday, November 9, 2012 - 05:45 pm Well, I just tried it. I can't see why this would be an improvement. I can count the clicks for you if you don't believe me, but it takes much more to do this via the account than it does through the empire cash menu. |
Crafty | Friday, November 9, 2012 - 07:33 pm Its better nasty tasting vegetable man, with DT you get the overview of what country has what and how your entire account stands. It's also imperative for moving cash between two different worlds. |
Serpent | Friday, November 9, 2012 - 07:46 pm I agree, I like the current system! |
sbroccoli | Friday, November 9, 2012 - 10:15 pm The empire menu also shows you the cash in the various countries. |
Andy | Saturday, November 10, 2012 - 12:31 pm We just have double features all over the site and it is confusing. Same with the menu and left frame commands and it should be streamlined and become clearer. The direct trading pages will have an increasing number of features, all related to assets of the account, across all the worlds and space, and it will be the one place to manage these assets. |
sbroccoli | Sunday, November 11, 2012 - 09:27 pm It's more confusing that you'll have to leave your countries and go to the portal in order to use the direct trading/transfer. Maybe you don't realise this, but a number of the changes you are currently making is adding clicks to the daily play. And more clicks for the same task isn't really what I'm looking for. |
Crafty | Monday, November 12, 2012 - 02:37 pm Haha! Maybe you dont realise Mr nastytastingvegetable man the difficulty we had transferring money before direct trading was introduced. You used to be able to keep unlimited cash in an enterprise (no accounts like now) and then that was changed where you paid lots of enterprise tax if you kept more than 12T, then that was changed for no tax. The clicking was endless to manage your cash, remembering that you didnt want to keep cash in countries as there used to be war. Trust me, the game has become FAR FAR more user friendly for the less dedicated player. Hah! to fight a decent war many had two or three browsers open or even two PCs running to keep up with the clicking...you have no idea... These menus are good, they'll just take a little to get used to is all. No sweat. |
SweetPea | Monday, November 12, 2012 - 02:40 pm This is all great news, but what about Virtual Asset exchange. are you guys still working on that or is it scrapped completely? |
Crafty | Monday, November 12, 2012 - 03:08 pm SweetPea, I know you are just itching to pay me that quadrillion, thanks for bringing this up. |
Andy | Monday, November 12, 2012 - 03:20 pm The problem was much larger than we have though of. we do not have a solution yet but hope to be able to recreate that exchange later. |
SweetPea | Monday, November 12, 2012 - 03:24 pm Lol. CC I thought I could duck you forever.... I swear I'll have your money by next week. Can I keep my thumbs? |
