Devils Halo | Monday, August 20, 2012 - 07:24 pm How can you turn you country into NUC power? I am located in KB...thanks |
Anthony King | Monday, August 20, 2012 - 07:51 pm You'll wanna retract your statement. Here is the proof what Andy has said. Sunday, April 22, 2012 - 12:24 pm -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Homerdome, This is not the US of A. This is a private company. We developed a game with its own rules. None of them is free speech. Being here for two years you know exactly how it works. If anyone breaks our rules he will not have an opportunity to do it again. And by calling names, you get easily get banned too. So i hope gamemaster will see to it that you will be banned. You broke the rules. |
Anthony King | Monday, August 20, 2012 - 07:53 pm Monday, August 20, 2012 - 07:05 pm -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- LMAO!!! Anthony remember free speech in the U.S.A. is quietly diminishing..just saying or and our second Amendment is slowly going to retardation.. That is calling someones name what you said. Who is stupid and dumb now. |
Anthony King | Monday, August 20, 2012 - 07:58 pm And beside, who are you calling yourself the devil. You know nothing of being the devil. You wanna becareful here what you speak off and who your messing with. I will be targeting your soul for vulgar language you spoke off. |
Drew | Monday, August 20, 2012 - 07:59 pm Um... dude asked a question |
Serpent | Monday, August 20, 2012 - 08:01 pm To become a Nuke power you must obtain nuclear or chemical weapons. |
Crafty | Monday, August 20, 2012 - 09:41 pm Sheesh. Is this really the sort of people that this game attracts nowadays? Do away with the free accounts...please! |
Yankee | Tuesday, August 21, 2012 - 01:09 am - I saw an earlier post from this guy saying he was a returning player.
- He should already know how to become a nuke power.
- He should already know how useless being one really is.
- He should already know what a waste of money it is.
|
Lorelei | Tuesday, August 21, 2012 - 01:15 am But isn't that the most infamous question in the game for a "returning player" now "noob"? ha ha ha ha |
Lukemc1441 | Tuesday, August 21, 2012 - 01:26 am Yeah but as a retuning player myself.... and even for complete noobs.... if there are no Nuclear powerplants its sort of self-explainitory lol. although idk that Chem weapons counted as Nuke lol |
Devils Halo | Tuesday, August 21, 2012 - 02:11 am LMAO...thank you serpent..this kid anthony is to much...it hurts...OMG!!! (this kid need Ritalin or something, and to answer your question yankee yes, I am a returning player it has been a few yrs. since I played, and does it really doesn't matter if I become NUC. Lorelei | Tuesday, August 21, 2012 - 02:37 am Devils Halo, Just an FYI. Yankee is one of the all-time power houses in the game...(you know a game vet!) lol He's taken over empires single handedly....I wouldn't want to get on his bad side. Nope. Not me!!!! I walk on egg shells around The Yankster. I've heard he's ripped heads off peeps wif a single hand! |
Kasper Quinn | Tuesday, August 21, 2012 - 03:30 am I heard he once killed a man just by lookin at him!! |
Lukemc1441 | Tuesday, August 21, 2012 - 03:48 am I dont like his name.... >.> dang yanks.... oh I-I-I mean.... I like... his........ guns... yeah his guns their ummm... shiny. :D |
Yankee | Tuesday, August 21, 2012 - 03:56 am LMAO .. not really but Matt and I did play hell in GR, two against the world at that time was still stacked in our favor But that was then, this is now, I'm still trying to figure out how to get my head above water with all these changes and even if I do, who would you fight with all these current restrictions I noticed I am now land locked with people I can't declare on and if it's their primary account, will never go away. Spending my time air transporting just to take on another C3 for basically a wash by the time I replace the ammo used at my current WL, does not seem like much fun to me. |
Anthony King | Tuesday, August 21, 2012 - 05:26 am Alright, if rules dont apply to players. Then fuck you all slug retards scum bags. |
Anthony King | Tuesday, August 21, 2012 - 05:31 am I heard he once killed a man just by lookin at him!! Yeah you got that one right woman. I killed you. |
Laguna | Tuesday, August 21, 2012 - 12:41 pm Quote:LMAO .. not really but Matt and I did play hell in GR
The guy I loved the must from that time was a scottish guy. I don't remember his name, but he had the best insults (and being scottish, I imagine a natural hate for Matt). I remember a particular one about gold coins, Matt, Jozi, a dark alley and... exchange of fluids. |
Yankee | Tuesday, August 21, 2012 - 03:19 pm Well I'm not sure, but I think his name was "Scottish Warrior". Funny thing was everyone hated Matt, I never could figure out why as he was friendly and would give you about anything if you asked. Seemed most would rather try taking and he was extremely good at the logistics of war. I cracked a hard drive once and didn't play for about 6 months. Back then Genie had those programs that would point out inactive players, and I signed back in as he was finishing off my empire. I'd learned war from Avalon and others of that type and to that point nobody had ever taken anything from me. I figured it had to be simply because I wasn't on to fight. So I built back and went after his ass, he whipped me so quick I had a hard time figuring out exactly how he did it. So I moved to Lacerta in GR, as far away from him as I could get and rebuilt again. Allied Forces had the largest portion of GR, and anyone of any size either joined them or was over run by their swarm tactics and most of them had a real "hard on" for Matt. When I wouldn't join or allow them to build within precision bomber range, I had a few rounds with them and banned them from Lacerta completely which got Matt and I talking and eventually allied. It was a good match for both of us, he was actually hated so much, he was isolated to the point there was a lot he didn't know about the game. Pretty soon I knew what he did about the game and I taught him what I had picked up. After that it was us against Allied Forces. We wouldn't let them build within precision bomber range and they were constantly shoving countries right next to us. At one point W3c even stepped in and stopped the war by locking Matt down, leaving me at war with half of GR. They might have got me then, I wasn't completely confident I could hold them off, for some reason David Walker wanted a truce and I'd already thrown them back so had no reason to continue. I think that was the beginning of the end for me, the game simply wasn't that much fun anymore. W3C was coming up with new restrictions and stopping wars every time someone whined. Matt eventually went inactive, big name players were leaving the game right and left, and after several months I gave my GR empire to someone (I thought Claws) and left. When you get two players used to fighting all comers alone allied up it's a hard combination to beat, or was back then, I doubt I can build an empire like that now with what this game has become. |
Crafty | Tuesday, August 21, 2012 - 04:10 pm Well you dont need the military empires that there used to be. Cost of offence compared to defensive is still about the same, its just smaller numbers. But the issue would be war levels. You and Matt couldnt prevent any other fed from having a member more than 2 war levels below you or below WL3 from moving right next to you, then the fed could storm into you with remote bases. Like wise, you cant help a friend if your WLs dont suit, which is where it all fell to bits. WLs were a good idea to limit noob bashing, some people were getting out of hand, but the idea was badly implemented, a far cry from the original concept. And they also prevent inactives being raided as most inactives havent achieved WL3 or above. This is why you dont see the sort of competition that you are talking about Yankee, damn shame really. In fact, now I've started, ok, so the GM wanted a lot of fresh blood here, nothing wrong with that, I'm all for it, for the games sake, GM might have been thinking more in terms of euros, but what happened? The newbs are protected so feel they can build and get into the game. But, now the econ model has been dumbed down, no trade strategies, stringent market caps, lots of things (I'm not talking about the $ numbers or GC values here). Free membership is introduced. Now we have a game that is largely populated by...by...well, you read the forums so you know the general level of the community here. I'm not a snob or trying to be intellectually superior ( I fear I may be coming across like that) but its like playing chess with your 8 year old child now, and changing the rules for him/her so he can understand it. Sorry about the long winded winge, everyone needs one sometimes. |
Kasper Quinn | Tuesday, August 21, 2012 - 04:14 pm Nah crafty im no where near a snob and im agravated too. Free membership's destroyed the game and other changes ahve made this game just crazy. Thats y i hit u up, im ready for a change but its a while to go. Dnt even care if im banned from talking about it anymore but mostly everyone knows what im talking about it. Shit just aint realistic anymore. |
Yankee | Tuesday, August 21, 2012 - 04:23 pm Well it's not just changes in the war aspect, it's become a rather disappointing game all around. I could go on an on about problems with this game keeping it from being even close to what made it popular, but you guys are already well aware of what you don't like. And the past is the past, what was will never be again. I came back determined to give it a year but, I'm about ready to go back to what I was doing. Was an interesting break from what I was doing but looks like that's all it is going to be |
Lorelei | Tuesday, August 21, 2012 - 04:49 pm Dear Crafty, Re Chat: "I'm not a snob or trying to be intellectually superior (I fear I may be coming across like that) but its like playing chess with your 8 year old child now, and changing the rules for him/her so he can understand it." Surely, noooooooooooo, surely you dun mean all my shoe discussions. (BAWLS) I'll try to keep my shoe topics on a more intellectual level. :P Yours, Truly Devastated in the USA |
Crafty | Tuesday, August 21, 2012 - 05:06 pm Lol no. Shoes are surely a sophisticated topic of discussion. Great new Avatar Lorelei. |
Lorelei | Tuesday, August 21, 2012 - 05:10 pm ha ha haha The shoe style in my avatar is called "The Lorelei". A bit of simshoe trivia there. ha ha ha ha |
Lukemc1441 | Tuesday, August 21, 2012 - 10:33 pm Guys I dont disagree with the Free Membership thing. Historically F2P MMOs make higher profits then P2P and have higher populations of both Inactive and Active players. Simcountry is the Most complicated and in-depth Browser-Based MMO ive EVER seen. and compared to its greates Opponent (In my eyes) CyberNations is far superior. that being said i think F2P was the right move from a business point of veiw and its common for old players to argue against hen games do it. but I do agree that if your gonna have F2P. Free Players need to have a day limit on activiy before they are open season regardless of Wlvl. or something like that to atleast try and apease both sides of Business and Player Population. |
