Most of my countries have the same population, and all indexes line up precisely. However in some countires the population each month rises by 1500 or more and in the other countires it only rises by a couple hundred. This isnt a big deal but does anyone have any idea why? I kinda want my countries building a few thousand up in pop each month to build up total emptire pop over time. I know i can just raise health but is there a reason why the health can be the same in the country rises less than the others. Such as more senior citizens or something?

Probably is the age group distribution like you have caught onto there.

Also, but dont take this as gospel, but somewhere I'm pretty sure the GM said that the welfare of neighbouring countries will effect your own countries migration, the better your welfare being compared to the surrounding area the more will move to you. (I may have totally dreamed this or only got half the story, dunno, and I cant be bothered to try and find the post/game news about it, it'll be about the same time the migration index became active, 1 year maybe?)
