SuperSoldierRCP | Friday, May 11, 2012 - 08:48 pm Many times nations have Millions of LLW that arent able to be used. I was thinking that maybe the GM remove them from being counted in the employment index, reducing the impact they have on the index, or giving us another way to use them. Personally i find it hard when you have little to no of any other workers but tons of LLW dragging my index down. Anyone agree? Disagree? |
Orbiter | Friday, May 11, 2012 - 08:54 pm i always thought that the millions of LLW where a way for W3C to say they gave us something cool, with out actually giving us anything. |
Redman | Friday, May 11, 2012 - 09:14 pm I thought LLW were the ones we could educate to be HTE, HTS and such. Was I wrong? I agree that having millions of them is a bit wasteful without having a way to at least do something with them. I know! Let us trade them for some GC's. : D Muahahaha! LOL. Just kidding. : D red |
Steven Ryan | Friday, May 11, 2012 - 10:25 pm countries looseing monyey again where all doomed |
Timothy Thurmond | Friday, May 11, 2012 - 10:39 pm Use them as trade when you take a c3. Its the best use when you have too many. |
Crafty | Friday, May 11, 2012 - 10:46 pm Seems to me, if you have too many LLW and no HT workers, then your education system is lacking. Jeez, SC 101. |
Redman | Saturday, May 12, 2012 - 03:48 am Not really in all cases crafty. Not as simple as that and it's not covered in SC101. Settings cranked for HTE's and HTS's and still get lots of LLW. And lord forbid you get a new country with 4 mil LLW. good luck trying to get rid of them if you don't trade them away. : D Peace out. |
QueenBikini | Saturday, May 12, 2012 - 05:29 am Yeah Crafty. Do you like trying to make people feel small? I bought population and the LLW workers took a majority of it. Not because the Education priorities were not set correctly, but because the levels were such before the population was purchased. I got a good deal so I took it. Sooo Jeez... NIT PICKER 101. Can always count on you for a sly comment. QB |
Marshal Ney | Saturday, May 12, 2012 - 09:11 pm Resident worker's visas for emigre's, better retraining facilities, or when all else fails "sietzkrieg". |
Crafty | Sunday, May 13, 2012 - 02:54 pm QB, super should know better, so I'm not trying to make him feel stupid. Also you should know by now about the distribution of workers you receive when you buy pop. And I'm glad you and Red and SS and whoever are learning that running only HI-tech corps is not such a brilliant idea, you also need corps using manual labour and less Hi tech workers. Some of them can even make better profits. And another theory I have is that due to the virtual disappearance of armies, then the 'old' balance of LLW to the rest is now biased. MLM workers seemed to have been tweaked, whether it was the larger corp sizes or an edu system change I'm not sure. So please dont jump down my throat so easily, I do try to think about what effects what and cause and effect, quite hard. My posts are me trying trying to pass on what little info (right or wrong) that I have gleaned in years of being active here. If SS gets the harsh treatment then thats because I think he deserves it. |
Redman | Sunday, May 13, 2012 - 07:47 pm I'm not running just high tech crafty. Who ever said I was? I said even with the priorities cranked towards high tech to curb the amount of LLW wasn't even doing much. In addition I like low tech corps to burn those those LLW. I posted because I was seeing many LLW in everyone's country. Not just mine. I think some of the updated in the last month or two have increased the amount of high techies you need in corps and lowered the LLW some with the higher quality production you gain from upgrades. Just make some low end corps to help eat them up guys and gals. : D PS> Ignore QB. I always do! Bahahahahaha! So do the gm's. Muhahahahaha! Sorry QB couldn't resist. |
Crafty | Sunday, May 13, 2012 - 09:54 pm I'm getting the message everywhere that I have too many unemployed, build more corps. looking at my ed pages I barely have enough of each to make a corp, certainly not enough to cover the vagaries of the unemployed numbers. Seems like this helpful help is not so helpfully tuned. And how could anyone ignore QB |
