Andy | Sunday, April 22, 2012 - 11:27 am The simcountry forum has been for years a place where players could exchange opinions and deliver criticism towards the gamemaster and towards each other. We have been very tolerant as to what is acceptable but made very clear that bad language, calling each other and the GM names and introducing offensive materials etc. is unacceptable. we also do not accept any materials that are damaging to simcountry and will immediately remove the materials and the player. We have banned players for various periods in the past and will continue to do so without any warning. Players who place such materials should be aware of the consequences. The forum will be a place where people are treated with respect and are careful about their language. The GM will remove without warning anyone who places any such materials. Banning can be from the forum only but the GM may decide to close the account and block the IP number for an arbitrary period or for ever. |
Crafty | Sunday, April 22, 2012 - 07:39 pm But sometimes there is a grey area Andy where what one might think acceptable, you may not, or vice versa. Perhaps a private message or e-mail to the offender explaining where they crossed the line might be good in not so obvious cases, or where its asked for. All other forums I have used have had a list of prohibited items that is set in stone. Everyone knows exactly where they stand. SC doesn't have this and you cant rely on the same universal standards amongst a world wide, multi-culture populace. |
