Now that the GM is no longer going to supply gold coins they will increase in value. And they will become commodities in themselves. No one will want to trade them knowing they will increase in value. Also the only way to create gold coins now is through monthly prizes. Now that the GM will no longer supply them they will be hard to find. Direct trading will become dead, no one will buy population activity in direct trading will die down. Remember just like the IMF is the lender of lasts resorts so to are you Andy. You must post gold coins for sale. But you must sell them higher than others so that others can sell them lower than you if and when they want to get rid of their gold coins, instead of being the best deal for both game cash and gold coins the GM (Andy) must be the worst deal when getting gold coins or game cash, but the liquidity will be there which is the most important thing. |

This is a good idea. Then it will discourage people from getting coins from the Gm but still be availble. Even tho it will be better if you can get players into this market, its still possible to get coins instead of there being a complete lack of them. |

How will they increase in value when the GM put a restriction on how much $SC I can ask for GCs?. They are dictating what happen of $SC I can offer? That is not acceptable. |

They will increase in value because a hidden market will be born from them. People will package money and send large amounts of it to players with gold coins and vise versa. |

The pull out of the GM from gold coin supply was for this reason only, to make gold coins more rare, it turn it will be hard for everyone to get and thus we will need to pull out our card to pay for coins. Without coins coming from the GM gold coins will dry up. |

Hey guy,
We have been making a lot of money by sitting around, complaining, not taking any risk.
nobody fights because it costs money and everybody wants to make money.
Now that that they changed the numbers and profits are down, there were messages here saying "this country should have this profit" and that enterprise should have that profit.
why is it? what is left of this game. sitting around and making money?
You described in details why the gold coins are needed so we can all play for free for ever and never need to purchase anything.
You are very smart indeed.
The introduction of gold coins exchange was an error when they brought it in. a very stupid error.
They should never bring it back and I advise them to:
- Kill the other part of the exchange. If anyone wants gold coins he should buy them.
- Kill the virtual assets exchange. It is not in the interest of W3creative.
- Add a feature or two that will give gold coins to players who win big wars between players if these wars are real.
- Add a feature that will earn gold coins, for peaceful players who achieve something big. Add some big things to achieve.
- Start making money as a company because no one is going to keep financing this game and company for ever if it does not produce enough revenue
And for our players community I would say:
Start playing if you want to make money. take risks and fight some wars to earn gold coins.
I am here from the start. I am probably the oldest player and I was communicating to Jozi by mail from time to time.
I mailed him yesterday and gave him my opinion on this decision that must be his:
Don't ever bring back the free money to Simcountry and never exchange any money any more into gold coins. |

With the amount GCs can be bought and sold for limited by the game, this move will drive forward the real cash market in virtual SimCountry assets. Was that part of the planning, Andy?
