Gothamloki | Thursday, April 12, 2012 - 03:05 am Dear friends, Sadly I must say my good byes. While I'm confident I could eventually work through the current round of economic sabotage committed by the SC gamemasters, I no longer find any joy in the game. And have grown to despise the corrupt game philosophy behind the constant thwarting of players' successes. At no turn, do they attempt to work in the player's favor. Each update is a reduction in profits, or an increase in necessary workers, or some other adjustment resulting in greater cost to the player. Now they have increased, by 20%, the base price for 1M population (the only true resource in the game... the foundation of your country's economy). This after a 20% decline in profits (and another 10% decline announced for April 17th), and no adjustment in non-product govt costs to properly equalize the negative effects against our economies. But this is all said in vain, as any attempt at fairness is fruitless. I will be dissolving the Ythretvarian Realms, effective immediately. I currently have 56 countries and 10 enterprises across the five-worlds. Many of you have either invested in one of my countries or I have invested in one of yours. Please take all necessary action to minimize the effect upon your national or enterprise economies. I will begin to rename all my enterprise corps to begin with "Ythretvari". Feel free to bid on any and all you wish to own. Each of my country names begin with "Athretvari". Should you own a corp in one of my countries, it's best to move it immediately as there will be severe worker shortages in many of them for quite a bit of time. They have quite huge populations and many corporations, so the immediate decline in population will have immediate negative results on all corporation productivity. I'm sorry for the inconveniences. But I'm sure the lose of all my "high numbers" will be met with joy somewhere in Amsterdam. I just wanted to say thank you to everyone here. You were by far the most interesting part of the game and I will miss my interactions with you immensely. Wendy, I love you. You are just amazing. David, thank you for your friendship and philosophy. You're a good soul. Matt (where ever you are) thank you for getting me started. You were a great mentor. (I did good, bud!) To the gamemasters: Please consider this point for just a moment: A majority of your players are econ players. By destroying the value of our successes, you destroy the value of the game in our eyes. Why should I play and succeed just to hear you complain about how successful I've been? We've asked and asked for a variety of new corporations and products, for new worlds to expand to, etc. Many, many things you could ADD to have us use up all our extra SCs. But your response is always... "next round of reductions"... after the fact. I think you should reconsider this philosophy. |

maclean | Friday, April 13, 2012 - 01:35 am I echo G's philosophy and sentiments, although I am not quite fed up enought to quit. ( not Quite, yet...) Good luck Gothamloki, and do check in from time to time, maybe there will be a mass revolt and the situation will change. (yeah, and baboons might pilot F16s out of my butt) |
