Tom Morgan | Thursday, April 12, 2012 - 12:04 am ...check out my enterprise Globex, which has lost, since the oil fiasco, over $70 Trillion in assets. This is a cry to both the GMs and other players in general. I have tinkered with the settings- still no change, and I thought by now I would have hit rock bottom. The employment figures (although shoddy) are not the problem- I was growing my assets fine with 85% employment. Since then, everything has gone to crap and, even though I've improved hiring and solved a supply shortage, I'm losing money even faster. I am now convinced I have no control of the situation, but I will continue to look and maybe I missed something. But, please, Andy have a look and make sure this isn't a fault at your end of the line... Cheers, T President of KBGA/not the Treasurer |
Tom Morgan | Thursday, April 12, 2012 - 12:05 am Oh, and in regards to oil, I do not have a large amount of oil companies. I am very diversified. T |
Andy | Thursday, April 12, 2012 - 12:50 am I will have a look tomorrow and get back. |
Andy | Thursday, April 12, 2012 - 09:45 am Tom, I checked. 1. The Enterprise is profitable. making more than 60B per game month. 2. The value of corporations in declining. this happens everywhere but their gold coin value is increasing. The rate declines and there is not reason for corporations to have a market value of 3T as was in the past. 3T is these days nearly 40 gold coins. 3. Your trade strategy is not good. you try to sell above your quality. as a result it does not sell, the price goes down and you get less money and you get it later. set it 10 points under your quality and your results will improve. 4. I did not check your purchasing strategy but make sure you offer enough. some corporations cannot produce for lack of materials. These changes will improve profitability although 64B (0.8 GC) 6 x per day is too good to be true. |
Tom Morgan | Thursday, April 12, 2012 - 10:54 am Thanks for the reply. I meant to be selling at 5% below quality. The Follow Product Quality selling strategy is misleading as it clearly states: When the products are put on the market, trail quality by: Wouldn't 'trail quality' mean being below quality? At least thats how I interpreted it. Anyways, I've fixed that. Cheers, T |

I adjusted my trade strategies after reading this. Start a 5 under quality decrease price by 5 for every month product is not sold Is this still not good enough? Because I am losing 1between 60-180B per month in my large ceos. |
Kitsune | Sunday, April 15, 2012 - 10:19 pm If you're being affected by the issue where your corps are paying too much for materials, that's going to be the main culprit... Paying ~$1B extra per month for materials is enough to erase already slim private corp profit margins and force your balance sheet into red ink. |
Inanna | Monday, April 16, 2012 - 05:23 pm Kitsune I like your avy... |
Steven Ryan | Monday, April 16, 2012 - 05:33 pm this game is rigged still more money wtf |
Steven Ryan | Monday, April 16, 2012 - 05:35 pm were all our compensation trillions and trillions |
Andy | Monday, April 16, 2012 - 08:30 pm Steven, In the first month run this morning, your account made a profit of 487B (6 GCs in a single game month). I don't see the problem. There were 38 players making more profit in that same game month. There are also some manual transactions on your account that had a major influence on your assets. Kitsune, In that same game month, you made 1.93 Trillion profit. (25 GCs in a single game month). There were 3 players making more profit in that same game month. Selling above quality however, is slowly dying because quality is declining game wide. Many are buying lower quality and it is reducing the top of the price scheme. |
Inanna | Monday, April 16, 2012 - 08:33 pm Andy, you didn't answer my question. Is 5 under market and reduce by 5 each game month not steep enough. Do I have to do 10 under and reduce by 10? |
Andy | Monday, April 16, 2012 - 08:42 pm Should be and it probably works most of the time. It depends on the market and what is being asked, the quality, volume, shortage, price level. 10 is safer. |
