Andy | Tuesday, March 6, 2012 - 02:18 pm 1. War levels 8 War level 8 is added to the game. In order to reach war level 8, you must be in war level 7 and win a war against a high level C3 country. The C3 country is stronger than the C3 country you fought for war level 7. In addition, its army includes 2 high quality stealth bomber units. These units will actively attack your air force during the war. Winning war level 8 will make it possible to move your country to game level 12 and will 150 gold coins. In addition, reaching war level 8 on the Fearless Blue world will win you an additional bonus of 200 gold coins. 2. Higher War Levels After some experience is gathered on the functioning of the level 8 C3 countries in wars with the use of stealth bombers, we will quickly add more war levels. War levels 9 to 12 have been prepared and will be activated this month. 3. Smaller Air Force units Most air force units are now smaller than before. The reduction is by about 15%. The change hardly influences the fighting power of these units. All aircraft now use one more missile in each attack and the total number of missiles used in most attacks remains close to the number before this change. The change does not influence existing units. The size of stealth bomber units and air transport units also remains unchanged. 4. Profitability of Corporations Corporations that are trying to sell products at a high price should make sure the requested price increase factor is lower than the quality of the product. Example: If the product quality is 300 and the price requested is 330% of the market price, the product will most probably remain unsold. The product price will be reduced and the trading process will retry to sell it in the next game month. This can repeat itself several times and the product may end up selling at a much lower price and only several game months later. Reducing the requested price factor to a level equal or lower than the quality level will speed up the trading. Many players now purchase raw materials and products for their countries at a lower quality level and there is less interest in very high quality products. 5. Default Product Quality for New Players Countries The default quality for all new players is now set to 150. This means that all new players countries and their corporations, will purchase products at a quality level of 150. This change means that such beginners countries will see their costs decline and the profitability of their corporations will increase. |
Nathan Spiegel (White Giant) | Tuesday, March 6, 2012 - 05:02 pm On the topic of air force units... Is anything being done to correlate corporation production of such weapons to match reduced unit size? If corporations continue producing at the same levels and units now require less weapons (but nearly the same attack rating) , the we are just furthering the massive problem that all these weapon surpluses are creating which make it nearly impossible for players to try their hand at setting ip corps to produce weapons |
Gothamloki (Little Upsilon) | Tuesday, March 6, 2012 - 05:11 pm Nathan: some (who use these corps to primarily supply themselves) would say they don't produce nearly enough, or quickly enough. |
Keto (Fearless Blue) | Tuesday, March 6, 2012 - 05:15 pm Andy, I appreciate the addition of war level 8 but could the game increase the money or assets in these c3's, considering the additional units to destroy and the additional losses? |
Andy (Fearless Blue) | Tuesday, March 6, 2012 - 07:41 pm The cash level is 12T. these days it is about 135 gold coins and much more than before. The amount will be such that the number of gold coins equivalent will increase strongly with each level. In recent months, the price of military units declined. both the price of the weapons and their numbers are lower. |
SuperSoldierRCP (Little Upsilon) | Tuesday, March 6, 2012 - 07:41 pm I must agree with keto the fact i will be losing weapons/ammo/people means the cash value must be much higher. Even for a level 7 c3 12T really isnt enough, It covers costs and gives just a few T on top i can make more just by playing the markets month to month over warring. The GM needs to look @ 20T cash plus war assests if the C3 will be fighting back |
Andy (Fearless Blue) | Tuesday, March 6, 2012 - 07:43 pm The oversupply of weapons does not come from over production but rather from the stock of some countries. Once all this is absorbed, production might be too low. There are currently too few weapon corporations and already, for some specific types of weapons and ammo, there is a shortage. |
Quetzalcoatl (Fearless Blue) | Tuesday, March 6, 2012 - 07:46 pm What happened to the budget page, i cant find that page anymore. |
Andy (Fearless Blue) | Tuesday, March 6, 2012 - 07:49 pm True. The budget system was not functional and in fact was not enforced. It created confusion and is not showing any more. Once we implement a real budget system which is easy to understand and supports you, it will come back. |
Jo Salkilld (White Giant) | Tuesday, March 6, 2012 - 10:19 pm One advantage with a WL8 C3 is that it has some offensive weapons left in it, unlike C3s at lower WLs. Not many, admittedly, but the Laser Guided Bombs will come in handy Thank you so much for finally implementing this war level Andy! Hugs and respect Jo |
Billionari (White Giant) | Wednesday, March 7, 2012 - 03:04 am So, budget was kind of "window dressing?" |
SuperSoldierRCP (Little Upsilon) | Saturday, April 7, 2012 - 01:50 am "Reducing the requested price factor to a level equal or lower than the quality level will speed up the trading. Many players now purchase raw materials and products for their countries at a lower quality level and there is less interest in very high quality products." ---------------------------------- They bother? Andy? WHY? Anything past 180Q in corps is pointless. Navies are worthless till you update them. They don't effect nations. Why buy better Q goods? They don't do anything and if they did we need benefits that would out way the cost( For 100M pop nation i spend 166.03B, the benefits for spending 500B a month better be ASTRONOMICAL). Why dont they effect disaster or aid relief. Wheres the updates for that? i remember being promised new disasters 2years ago. All i got was worthless war level, shitty space, and a load of bad updates. What about CM there's no benefit to them why cant they trade @ cost or even @ base price |
Laguna | Saturday, April 7, 2012 - 04:13 am Quote:So, budget was kind of "window dressing?"
Hahahahahaha!!! I suppose it is. |
Jo Salkilld (White Giant) | Saturday, April 7, 2012 - 12:28 pm Andy, you originally said that War Levels 9-12 would be activated during March. Obviously it has taken longer than expected to iron out glitches, but is there any update on when we can expect them? Hugs and respect Jo |
Andy | Saturday, April 7, 2012 - 03:34 pm War level 9 will be introduced this coming week. Work is finished on all these levels and adding them is only pending on the review of results of recent wars. The coming update will include war level 9 but also an update to war levels 7 and 8. |
Sunny (Kebir Blue) | Saturday, April 7, 2012 - 03:45 pm It'd be nice if we got a better cash reward for wl 9+. 9 @ 19T, 10 @ 24T, 11 @ 28T or something like that. At least it makes it worthwhile going to war. |
Andy | Saturday, April 7, 2012 - 03:48 pm The budget system was active but the effects of it on the country cost were too small and we had many support questions on how to tune it and a lot of confusion. The feature was not essential, more confusing than helping or adding to the game and was scraped for now as it priority to be upgraded was not high enough. There were never any votes requesting an urgent upgrade to the budgeting. It will be back when we have the resources to spend several weeks of work to upgrade it. If you want to call it window dressing that is also OK with me. It was a non feature and was never understood correctly. |
Andy | Saturday, April 7, 2012 - 03:49 pm Cash rewards in terms of gold coins will be higher. These rewards are increasing all the time. In terms of game money however, they will be lower. We might change the awards into gold coins to prevent the repeated updating when the exchange rate changes. |
Jo Salkilld (Golden Rainbow) | Saturday, April 7, 2012 - 04:41 pm Thank you Andy. Hugs and respect Jo |
Crafty (Little Upsilon) | Saturday, April 7, 2012 - 08:48 pm Again reducing the availability of cash. Why Andy, why are you reducing cash availability and increasing GC numbers? |
Sunny (Kebir Blue) | Saturday, April 7, 2012 - 11:49 pm So... in hindsight you're saying it's pretty pointless to war? |
