Tonight, I am staying up till 1:44AM to wait for my darn Airbase Construction Unit to burst out of its cacoon and become a remote depot, so I can finally take that C3 I've always wanted since I was a young sprout. That's right- 1:44AM Sunday Morning. What a rebel I am.
But, for future generations of SC players, I would like to protest. Waiting 12 hours for a ABCU to become a RD is far too long. Heck- even half of that amount of time is frustrating. Most of you who have tried to take a country not neighbouring your own will know what I'm talking about. Put simply, the 12 hour wait is stupid. Say someone airdrops one at 8am, that person will have to wait till 8pm before he/she can begin transferring LRDs and Occupation Units. Then, they will have to fight that war. And I hardly expect anyone to be playing SC at 8am. Most would be either sleeping/at work. And deccing any later in the day (post 8am) would mean staying up later at night- not an option for some.
So my plea to the GMs is that they reduce the 'construction' period of Remote Depots to 6-8 hours max. 4 hours would be great. Sorry if it sounds bitchy or whingy but in the name of convenience, would it be such a big ask that my suggestions be considered.
Any constructive critism or suggestions would be much appreciated.

There are different ways of fighting a war, and there are different strategies to approach an enemy with ground forces.
IMO, current war engine is unnecessarily fast enough to not even think on making it much faster. |

I know what your saying T. But imagine if your being attacked by a real player. You go to bed thinking you have secured your boarders to wake up to a ABCU in the middle of your country with LRD's munching up your land?
I think it takes that long so the defender has time to react.
