Andy | Friday, January 6, 2012 - 12:59 pm Air Force Units The size of new air force units will decline again by about 10%, at the same time, the number of missiles they use during fighting will increase slightly. [text] As a result of these changes, the destructive power of air force units will remain largely the same or even increase by several percentage points but the number of airplanes that will be destroyed during a war will be smaller. The new maps The next update of the new maps, expected in a week or two, will include a much better way to move objects on the map by dragging them to the new place and an improved way to move military units. Both features will be available on all the new maps. |
Jo Salkilld (White Giant) | Friday, January 6, 2012 - 04:26 pm Thank you for letting us know Andy. Do we have an ETA on war level 8 yet? Hugs and respect Jo |
SuperSoldierRCP (Little Upsilon) | Friday, January 6, 2012 - 07:17 pm in addition to Jo's comment an the ETA on navies Q. BTW i don't know if this was done thought knowing but air trans wing have remained the same and they havent seemed to change in the bit. A wing still requires 50planes max/25min I still find it weird that 25/50 planes are needed to move a single team(12man team) of Special Forces around. Any chance we can add a single air trans to the SF unit? allowing them to move freely without the need of a second unit? Something just so we can free up workers or maybe allow 4-5 SF to be dropped by a single air trans unit. |

Andy (Fearless Blue) | Saturday, January 7, 2012 - 12:18 pm When we have exact dates we publish them. This is a high priority but there are some features on the maps we will complete first. Air transport units have not been reduced in size. Many airplanes are needed because of the weapons, ammunition and supplies. we have reduced the numbers needed already before and keeping these units at the current size will reduce the numbers needed even more because all other units are now smaller, use smaller numbers of weapons and may be reduced even more. |
SuperSoldierRCP (Little Upsilon) | Monday, January 9, 2012 - 03:11 pm This i do agree with Andy (Side note) I agree with the GM and yourself. Please in no way at all think what i'm saying is that 1 plane should move hundreds of weapons just by a click. I do agree that many dozens are/should be needed to move supplies, weapons, and/or ammunition. The only thing i was speaking of is Special forces. I dont know if you know but in Space a shuttle can only move 10Special Forces units/10Seal Teams ---YET--- Move 100bombers, 2000missiles, Heck i can move 50 military cargo planes in 1 go. The point i was making was that 10Squads totaling 200men = the same size and space as 50 Military cargo planes. This Flaw is seen in the normal war game 1 Special forces unit of 20men(Non-FB worlds) needs a transport wing to move them around which is 25 cargo planes minimum. That means each plane carries 1man the remaining 5 carry the trucks but only 3 are need. So that means 2planes fly around doing/moving NOTHING. Yet those 25Planes require high numbers of troops to man them. My suggestion was that Rapid Deployment units/Special forces have a Military cargo plane added to them. When making a unit both the SF and 1 cargo plane are needed then players wouldn't need so many cargo planes and it wouldn't tie up so much precious manpower/assests that could be used in other areas of the game |
