I've been saying this for the last few weeks. The only thing that might explain it is the selling of population. I've only sold population on Little Upsilon but my FB main is dropping people like flies. When you combine this with expected corporation worker changes that are not announced you can have huge problems. This week I logged in to see I needed 1.7milliom High Tech Engineers, 400K High Tech Seniors and was short 1.8 million Low level Workers. This was empire wide and scaled down in smaller countries but pretty much hit me everywhere at once. I've added 5 million pop already, probably more and am still short on workers with a 200 education index. I think that there is a problem with the welfare index. I'm not sure how to check for myself if that is the case, but I cannot. |
Keto (White Giant) | Thursday, December 29, 2011 - 03:33 pm I have similiar issues as Psycho Honey at times, world wide, and that happens without selling population. Been doing it for months. |
Sunny (Kebir Blue) | Sunday, January 1, 2012 - 07:42 pm Some help would be appreciated here... I'm getting less and less births, and deaths are still sky high... I'm in a lose lose situation... My deaths are 52x my births, that doesn't really look good lol |
Psycho_Honey (Fearless Blue) | Sunday, January 1, 2012 - 07:49 pm lol, Sunny what is your health index atm? |
Sunny (Kebir Blue) | Sunday, January 1, 2012 - 07:56 pm It sounds funny, but i tell you, IT AIN'T lol It's depressing lol For your question, 122. |
Psycho_Honey (Fearless Blue) | Sunday, January 1, 2012 - 08:05 pm I agree with you Sunny. It has been said that with higher populations a higher index of health is needed. I'm going to start looking at countries with super populations and see what their health indexes are and that will give us a target. It will be interesting to see if they continue behaving like this at higher health numbers. This happened to a person who had a 150 index of health. I can't imagine why it would need to be much higher than that. |
David Walker (Little Upsilon) | Sunday, January 1, 2012 - 08:25 pm With high populations, the births figure is irrelevant. There are many previous posts on this and the GM has talked about changing it. The most important indexes for population are the 0-4 age group and the death rates which is directly linked to the health index. |
Ghoul Forsaken (Little Upsilon) | Monday, January 2, 2012 - 05:29 am David Walker is right. |
Andy (Little Upsilon) | Monday, January 2, 2012 - 08:48 am Is the population really declining? Please mail us the country name where it happens but check before, if the empire has sold population in recent past. If these numbers are true, the population is probably very high and some was sold. |
Psycho_Honey (Fearless Blue) | Monday, January 2, 2012 - 09:55 am Not in my case Andy my friend. My FB main has not sold population ever, and if it ever has it was many many months ago. It is Queen of Battle. On LU I did sell pop in my main because I went inactive and llws exceeded 25 million at one point. There was no other way to fix it. |
Sunny (Kebir Blue) | Monday, January 2, 2012 - 12:52 pm It's happening to me Andy on KB. Country in question - Sephiroth As with Psychos, i haven't **ever** sold population in my country. The only reason i can think of, is that i'm on 132mil pop... but i've seen other countries with much more stable rates. |
