CaoYi (Little Upsilon) | Saturday, December 24, 2011 - 08:02 pm One of my friends said that one of U.S Presidents was a homeless after serving office. He also said that the U.S Congress enacted a retirement and salary for U.S Presidents after they served office because of that homeless president. I have no idea that this was true or fate. I also did many researches on google, but I couldn't find it. You guys help me out with this |
Gothamloki (Little Upsilon) | Saturday, December 24, 2011 - 08:12 pm I think it had more to do with Harry Truman not having enough money after leaving office to hire a proper staff. Current pension is set to Cabinet members salary... approx 200K/yr plus reimbursement for staff, and travel. http://www.senate.gov/reference/resources/pdf/98-249.pdf |
