Sunny (Kebir Blue) | Tuesday, October 18, 2011 - 07:49 pm Hey folks, Recently i attacked a c3 to reach WL 5, nothing major i know. However, i couldn't let go of the fact, i viewed it's defenses before declaring war. It had 200 Interceptors and 200 Helicopters. Once declaring war, out of nowhere, it had 8x what was listed there. Now, i'd like to know, how the fruck that's possible. Couldn't there be a system whereas there's different level countries (c3) on continents. All ranging up to WL 12 for example? I got caught with my pants down, and lost a little too many drones (am not buying bombers from the Space Market) which was a little frustrating lol. Anyone know the numbers of ints and helis for WL 6 and 7 (or how many units there are?) (an approximation?). Also, any tips on how to go about attacking the c3?? If any of you have any alternative methods? Kind Regards Sunny |
SuperSoldierRCP (Little Upsilon) | Tuesday, October 18, 2011 - 08:00 pm The issue with higher war levels is that it shows lvl 3 def so when you dec it adds more.*out of no where* I believe its 25inters 5heli wings plus garrisons. Personally i used bombers. Yes i know there space only but it saves me time and @ 250Q i lost very little per war. After those air force are down i use my navy to clear out the garrisons then i follow up with tanks/artillery. ------Side notes------ "All ranging up to WL 12 for example" War levels on go up as high as 7 ATM but the GM did say about adding more so well see. "am not buying bombers from the Space Market" True that that's why i make my own. I run 10corps making bombers. 130Q goods makes about 250Q bombers. 10corps gives me 30bombers a month which isn't a ton but hey its something. |
Jo Salkilld (White Giant) | Tuesday, October 18, 2011 - 08:17 pm I doubt you're the first person to get caught out by this, Stuart. The whole point about C3 war levels is that they are designed to match or increase the WL of the attacker, depending on whether the attacker wants to take it to go up a WL or for other reasons. So, once you declare, you get a holding message, saying something like "please wait, calculating defences" before the war starts. At that point, the game works out what WL the C3 has to be to suit you and sets the defences to that level. A level 0 player, wanting to add to his empire will face a very different set of defences to a level 6 player wanting to go up to level 7. Thus there is no way of knowing, before you declare, what defences it will have, unless you have already fought a C3 at that level, or other players who have can give you an idea, as you requested. However, you can declare, scout the defences and let the war expire, then declare on another once you have put the appropriate weapons in place ... Hugs and respect Jo |
