Tom Willard | Tuesday, September 20, 2011 - 11:20 am We have some problems with the movements of assets out of countries that were offered for sale, between the time of the offer and the sale of the country. The game procedures create very detailed logs of all such transactions and it is known in details, when such transactions take place, the identity of the player, used IP address etc. This process is completely under control but it is time consuming to find out what happened. A new feature will be introduced in the coming two weeks that will block all login possibilities to a country that was offered for sale. The procedure will eliminate all existing login sessions to that country and block any new attempts to login. The player can of course retract the sale offer, and logging in will become possible again. The player will be able to offer another country or the same country for sale after a cooling period. |

Orbiter (Fearless Blue) | Tuesday, September 20, 2011 - 03:51 pm i understand the need for this, but can i point out it is already difficult enough to sell countries? |
Maestro2000 (White Giant) | Wednesday, September 21, 2011 - 12:05 pm The market for countries is rather soft at the moment. I agree when you buy a country for whatever price is agreed by both parties you want to make sure that the asset you paid for is the asset you get. The no loggin seems a little extreme. (But may be necessary) Moves this prevents 1. Prevents seller from transfering out military assets in the middle of the sales 2. Prevents the seller from making extra profit on the sale of population during the sales period. 3. Prevents the seller from transfering out excess cash during the sales transaction |
