SuperSoldierRCP (Little Upsilon) | Tuesday, August 30, 2011 - 08:00 pm 4. Precision Bombers and precision Bombs [ top ] Both products are now trading on all the worlds. Trading will be moved exclusively to the Cervus space station. This change will take place on September 6 or 7. Direct selling and contracting of these products on all the worlds remains unchanged. ............................................. Doing this will surely kill the entire war game. The only way to kill interceptors is with fighters and bombers. Making it harder to get bombers will remove the most important weapon in war. Bombers are hard enough to get. Not to mention large amounts you need. By removing them from world markets it will become much to hard to clear air forces/garrisons. Also ammo dont grow on trees. A bomber corp only makes 30bombers, ammo only gets 900bombs a year. GAME MASTER STOP IT ALREADY!!! Your pushing a bunch of changes with are not in the LEAST helping the players in fact your hurting us terribly by making some of the most important weapons in war space only and (contracted) when they make little to no REAL production as is.. Does anyone else agree? |

Keto (Golden Rainbow) | Tuesday, August 30, 2011 - 08:05 pm I agree 100%. Leave weapons/ammo the way they were, available for purchase on all worlds! You're only making us spend more money which we dont want to do. |
Crafty (Kebir Blue) | Tuesday, August 30, 2011 - 08:07 pm Quote:The only way to kill interceptors is with fighters and bombers.
Nope. But yes, it is getting silly that you need a dock (at 200GC) on lots of stations to do any business. |
Laguna | Tuesday, August 30, 2011 - 08:08 pm I believe the guiding thought is to make these weapons some sort of premium. After all, full members are/will be the only ones with access to them. With that said, there has to be better ways of encouraging players to subscribe to the game. |
SuperSoldierRCP (Little Upsilon) | Tuesday, August 30, 2011 - 08:24 pm new players want 2things. They want free trade look @ how many instantly use the CM feature making contracts right away. The others want to war. Making feds and trying to recruit. Players will stick around if they like what they see . Holding weapons over in the Full player side and saying u need to be a paying player means nothing when they pay find out its crappy deal n leave. Whats more important 12USD her or 2-3YEAR memberships. Fix the war game, Fix CM, Stop pushing space, Fix a lot of issues before this crappy space bull and i bet you we will see a TON of registrations. Its not that people don't like the game just how its being build. There's so many things to do With countries or CEO but there confusing. Again has the GM looked @ planet descriptions or the docs? Game Master what i guess i'm saying is please stop with space stuff. You've lost so many good players as is. If you keep going your going to lose a lot more. No one wants that |
Matt Patton (Golden Rainbow) | Tuesday, August 30, 2011 - 08:49 pm I use drones they are easier to acquire and cheaper |
Tom Willard | Tuesday, August 30, 2011 - 11:35 pm Making Simcountry easier to play and helping new players is a very high priority. This change however, has nothing to do with new players. New players are unable to trade in space. Bombers or no bombers will kill nothing. We had doomsday messages telling us about the end of the (war) game every time someone did not like a feature. A forum like this encourages people to blow up in hysteria but this change is exceptionally minor. You can easily do without bombers, there are alternative weapons. very recently there was a discussion about too many similar weapons that should be discarded. you can: 1. produce bombers yourself; easily. 2. buy them directly from others on your own world. They will keep producing them on all the worlds. (and for sure, someone will also bring them over and sell them). 3. buy them in contracts on your own world. Some existing weapons will become more powerful (OAAMBs and Anti tank missiles ) Some are moved into space trading and will not be used by everyone. we will create more diversification in weapons and add stealth bombers. Space trading is now quite easy but we will reduce clicking even further by allowing transport of multiple products instead of one type of product per transport. we will also allow others to do the transport for you if you are not interested in cargo shuttles. |
Tom Willard | Wednesday, August 31, 2011 - 12:01 am As to the number of bombers needed, we are reducing all numbers of weapons used. check the game news of today. The corporations produce the same number of bombers, fighters etc. while the number used in units and the number lost in fighting already declined and will keep declining. the same goes for other hard to get weapons. Storing weapons in docking stations has a disadvantage: the cost of keeping the docking station. It also has some advantages: no maintenance cost and no soldiers and officers. easy and quick transport to any world. Check the cost of storage: A docking station can store 1000 bombers at the cost of 5 GCs = 875B per real month. (The current exchange rate is about 1GC = 175B). The maintenance cost in the country is about 30M per game year or (on most worlds) 450M per real month or 450B for a 1000 bombers. It also requires 14000 officers and 28000 soldiers which reduces the capacity of the country to build corporations by 0.2 corporation. The price issue is not a clear cut case against docking stations. |
EC (White Giant) | Wednesday, August 31, 2011 - 01:56 am Sigh.....seriously GM's??.....do you even listen to anything?.....the players do not want these changes....now your gonna do this with precision bombers??....what a joke You have already ruined the war game...now your gonna do THIS....to the most used and versatile weapon in the game nonetheless! How much more can you do to ruin the war side of simcountry?? This is complete and total garbage...thanks for force feeding this space crap down our throats. Half the players I talk to don't even like the thoughts of it. Great job on listening to the players. |
SuperSoldierRCP (Fearless Blue) | Wednesday, August 31, 2011 - 02:17 am Tommi The The Independent State of Mindao forces lost 40 anti aircraft missile batteries, 40 missile interceptor batteries, 40 defensive missile batteries and 320 interceptors. The Independent State of Mindao lost 428 soldiers and 1188 were wounded. The unit Mesa of Firebase Phoenix lost 50 precision bombers. The attack may have been reduced or eliminated by Anti Missile Missiles. Mesa lost 1 or more trucks, gasoline and military supplies. Firebase Phoenix lost 165 soldiers and 359 were wounded. The Independent State of Mindao defense was assisted by the Eldorado and Garrison TG1140 unit. ---------------------------------------------- Point is REGARDLESS of how how low you want garrisons or what ever point is until then we screwed until then. I lose 50Bombers in 1attack against target when u try to remove inters. That's 2corps of a full year of production 25corps of 1month of production. Those Offensive Anti air better rock because ATM, Heli's TEAR THEM APART. At least if anything just increase it production massively on FB then the extra surplus will find its way to the markets/other worlds |

FattyMcButterPants (Little Upsilon) | Wednesday, August 31, 2011 - 03:34 am You and any other player soliciting members of this game on this forum to go and join another competing browser based game and possibly leave in essence, should be banned. If you are dissatisfied with the game to this extent just leave already, don't ruin it for the rest of us, who DO PAY and ENJOY THIS game. Thank You for your time. |
ZentrinoRisen (Little Upsilon) | Wednesday, August 31, 2011 - 03:49 am I tried to buy some weapons on a space station this morning and it would not let me. Maybe I just don't know how to do it. My question is how will my bomber corps sell their products now? |
