WE DESPERATELY NEED SPACE CORPS TO BE FIXED!!!

You know a shuttle corp loses 20-30B a month and you cant keep it running unless you provide daily cash injections. I payed 50GC to upgrade mine and lost them a day later. Space corps need to be able to hold 500B or higher to prevent constant closures or at least when it goes into debt, it auto pulled from the Country/CEO

In fairness to CEO's.
I(and others) get constant bids from new CEO trying to buy space/nuclear/other space traded corps. We need some form of protection to prevent bidding. Just like country being able Nationalize a state corp to prevent bidding(making it a National Industry) a CEO should be able to protect things like space corps(which take a large amount of work). Its unfair that a CEO makes and fully upgrades a space corp only to have it bidded and lost. The only real defense is to raise market value but when you lose 20B or more increasing the market value is almost impossible

Same here super, spent coins to super boost my 4 space shutle corps. I went away one weekend to come back to just 2 corps left due to loans. Definitly need to be able to put more cash in those corps to prevent that from happening.

i third that, after all thats been done to make it so you don't have to check your countries every hour... why do we have a corp type you must manually infuse cash into every day?

yes. cargo shuttle corporation are losing 30B per game month up to 15 times.

Then they sell the cargo shuttle for 500B to 700B to the country and recover all the losses. They end up with up to 150B in profits.

The country can sell the cargo shuttle on the direct market and make a price in gold coins that is much higher then the production price.

Cargo shuttle corporations are by far the most profitable ones in Simcountry but they require you to invest for 15 game months before you can get your money back plus profit.

If you are not interested in this kind of corporation, you can better sell it and keep out of the space industry.

The next update of Simcountry tomorrow (Wednesday ) will have an improvement on the corporation page, showing exactly how much of the product is already produced so you can see when it will be ready.

You can pump up to 100B into the corporation. (loans plus 100B).

you need to do so again after 5 game months. and again.

once a shuttle is sold, you get 500B to 700B in cash and the corporations does not need loans any more.

New corporations start with a huge amount of cash and hardly need an intervention.

But it is true, that this corporation needs more baby sitting and we advise you in this case to stay out of it.

Major kudos for moving the corporation cash limit to 100B.

I don't think you understand. It wont stick, there is a fix that when a corp hits 60B or so any profit is given to the CEO/country and cash is reduced to get there. So ya i can pump 100B in but next month ill be @ 40B. 40B it takes out to get to the 60B which i get back as (profit) and the 20B monthly losses. Safety lets say most people (on LU) leave for 12hours...You know to sleep, work, take care of family(stuff of that sort)3months after injecting 100B the space corp is taking loans

(start @ 100B)
month 1 after injection 40B
month 2 after injection 20B
month 3 after injection 0(then loans are taken)

all we as the players are asking is for a higher cap limit im not asking for it to hold 5T in cash but raise the limit to something like 200B or to that extent. What if someone has an issue and they cant check for 24hours? Then there corp takes to much loans and leaves.

Not to mention a 1000mission shuttle will sell for the same price as a 3330mission shuttle. (You should look into basing GC on the number of missions rather then the shuttle itself.)

We have checked cargo corporations in the past days.
All the ones we have seen, produce cargo shuttles and sell them.

we saw the spike in income and the losses in between and we checked the cash in the corporations.

They received about 500B in cash for the cargo shuttle and the money was in the corporation.
there is no need to extra cash at all.

I suggested several times now:
don't produce them if you think it is too difficult.
there is no need for you to do that. Obviously it works in many other cases.

we have now looked into it several times and in all cases it worked and generated income.

these are the most profitable corporations around and the potential profit from an upgraded corporation is about 5-8 times larger than the profit from the next most profitable one.

Hi Tom I'm wondering when your going to look into the Navy weapons and ammo being used @ 100Q no matter if its 250Q. A few players and I have been buying @250Q. Now if you ever used the navy in the past it was the most powerful weapon system in simcountry before they reduced the amounts of weapons per navy. You could also attack with 1000nfps. But thats the past I'm not asking to bring back the old navy I'm just asking for an update to the Q of weapons and ammo being used. Without an update the navy would be useless. So please Tom can you look into this for me and everyone else that likes the war side of the game.

If you ASQ shuttle corps, you'd be surprised how much they can make ;)

So I presume they can be made to work then wild and these complaints are down to the corps not being managed properly? Seems like W3C can make them work.

There is no magic about cargo shuttle companies.
if you want to do it, build a state corporation and nationalize it to prevent a takeover before they build up a high market value.

then check them once a day and see if they have all the parts they need and enough cash. probably cash will be OK.

once you have followed them for the first 20 game months and sold the first shuttle to the country when it is ready (13 or 14 months), you can reduce the checks but just make sure you have the raw materials and a contract to sell to the country. in this way you do not need to sell the shuttles manually.

one game month after the shuttle is sold to the country, it will be visible in the space system and can be offered on the market.

depending on the quality, you can sell it for 3 to 5 gold coins.

At this moment, there are requests for cargo shuttles and nothing is available.

we do not want to intervene but if none are offered, we will have to offer some.

Long-range Siege Cannons Status: Please read our response [ top ]
Detailed Description:

For offensive weapons, an idea I just had is the concept of long range siege cannons, like the "big berthas" of World War I. They would probably be classified as a land-based weapon due to their enormous size. Their range probably wouldn't be as great as conventional or cruise missiles. Just an idea.

18 gamers voted for the proposal.
11 gamers voted against the proposal.

The proposal has been ACCEPTED.

W3Creative reaction:

We currently haver many weapons and would like to concentrate on improvements to the war process and development of the space war project. We will get to improvements of current weapons at a later stage.

Why arent the gm's fixing the war issues that already exist b4 rushing in to the space wars?

C'mon guys, u are/have ruined what was once a great war and econ game

Its a joke that u have made war almost impossible on normal worlds, yet are pushin space wars on us.....

fix the game issues already around and stop with the nonesense

I think it would be wise to let space rest how it is for a bit. Let everyone get used to trading in space, let a market grow, and while you do, work on the aspects of the game that need work right now. It might be worth looking at War Levels once again...perhaps you could make it so that anyone over WL 3 can fight anyone over WL 3? That way, the reward for going up War Levels is increased cash from C3s, but you make it easier for players who want to fight to fight each other. War Level 1-2 then essentially becomes free war protection.

And then, of course, you could introduce space wars after a market has sprung up in space.
