Monday, June 27, 2011 - 09:03 pm  With the advent of space travel, the Scarlet Police State of Golden Rainbow and the Scarlet Technocratic Colonies of Little Upsilon have been working and communicating more closely together. As president of the Scarlet Police State, I've signed an agreement with the colonial government to bring both governments under more centralized control. As a result, I'm pleased to announce the creation of the Scarlet Overrike - a centralized government unifying both worlds. While most citizens have welcomed the change, several protests have been made across Little Upsilon and Golden Rainbow. I would like to assure the international community that such protests do not reflect the views of the majority of the Rudlander people. These protests have been propagated by Inanni sleeper cells and religious extremists within these empires who have influenced our younger citizens by slipping drugs into their coffee. The newly formed Overrike Interior Directorate has dispatched several thousand battalions of riot police across both worlds and will deal with the protesters quickly and efficiently. Resistance will not be tolerated and is ultimately misguided. I have been informed that rumors are circulating that Rudlander police have been indiscriminately firing upon civilians. This is untrue. Reports of bloodshed are exaggerated. No innocent civilians are being shot or disappeared. We are dealing with the problem of biased journalism. Any reporters caught attempting to promote biased journalism within the Scarlet Overrike will be jailed without trail regardless of nationality. Our valiant police forces have clashed repeatedly with only immoral rebels seeking only mindless violence who have been drugged by Inanni operatives. Barring the temporary setbacks of Inanni operatives and biased journalists, we are proud to announce the formation of the Scarlet Overrike. My cabinet is currently working on methods of overhauling the education, health, and transportation systems along with creating a unified interplanetary trade policy for the benefit of all Rudlander people.
