Monday, May 2, 2011 - 09:18 am Good news indeed, but I can't help wondering why ABC News reported that the body has been identified by DNA testing whereas Reuters insist that DNA test results aren't yet available and he has been identified using facial recognition. Kind of implies that one of them is making up news. On a side note, never knew Wikipedia had a Death Portal!

Monday, May 2, 2011 - 10:41 am Considering how much drama and conspiracies that surrounds Usama its vital to prove and leave no trail doubts behind. Thou i think this will have a minor impact on the terrorist threat, but is sure a great USA triumph to been able after a LONG time killing off a great enemy. "Kind of implies that one of them is making up news" Never trust news where all agencies report the same on a few shaky sources. Its kind of a healthy sign they use different sources and therefore reports different. Or ofc, one is too lazy to research and making everything up according to their own agenda (eg Fox news).

Monday, May 2, 2011 - 12:49 pm sounds like the old smoke and mirror trick. wonder if that's enough to get re-elected.

Monday, May 2, 2011 - 02:31 pm So, what do you think? 1. New conspiracy theories will abound 2. The Moslem world will make him a martyr 3. We will see reprisals in the next two weeks 4. He will continue to make appearances in Roswell and other significant places. 5. Other--give us your appraisals

Monday, May 2, 2011 - 02:38 pm *Muslim. Moslem is a Spanish Muslim if I remember rightly.

Monday, May 2, 2011 - 02:52 pm Parsifal Bets good on numbers 1, 2, 3, 4. 5. My take it wasn't him. They want to kill the name. I haven't seen any physical evidence. Lots of crime scene footage from the shootout, but not one body. Seeing is believing. Until Al-Qeada number 2 comes out and says he dead, I'll stay on the fence.

Monday, May 2, 2011 - 02:57 pm 1,3,4 yeah will prolly happen. 2. No way in hell. Usama have killed far more Moslems than westerners. Some fundamentalist and rebels will ofc make an martyr of him, but never the broad public. No more than the US home-grown terrorist is a martyr (thinking of the bombers of some US buildings).

Monday, May 2, 2011 - 03:17 pm you never know, their is allot of hate out their, anything can happen. hate is often irrational, and in the world, their is allot of hate directed toward the united states, so who knows? anyways, i'm very glad, and some what doubtful, although, i really hope its true. it will bring closer to many, many people that have waited a long time to put this to rest. i can't say i enjoy the the death of any person. but i believe that justice was served, and we are all safer with out him breathing.

Monday, May 2, 2011 - 06:55 pm His death changes nothing. Actually makes the world worse. His followers will now try to avenge his death.

Monday, May 2, 2011 - 07:38 pm Maestro, I agree and disagree, alot depends on who inherits his wealth. As for proof they are saying they buried him at sea. Sounds a little sketchy to me, But kill him or kill his name, it is still a victory for me in a very long(and still continuing) war. Them - 3000+ in just one action in the U.S.,plus countless others. Us - not so many, YET!

Monday, May 2, 2011 - 07:51 pm it might get worse, but it might get better also. their are allot of various factions, and conflicting beliefs. osama's death may unify them, or with out a central head, fracture them. time will tell. but this certainly is a step in the right direction. assuming that its true of course. i agree that dumping his body out at sea is rather...curious. combine that with it being an election year, and how quickly obama was to take full credit for this... over all, this is all to fast, it just seems very much as a "fly by night," and snake oil type thing, but still i hope its true, and for now, i'll believe it. and hope for the best.

Monday, May 2, 2011 - 10:59 pm Look at Israel. Kill one terrorist and 5 take his place. It's a cycle with no end.

Monday, May 2, 2011 - 11:46 pm His 'burial' at sea was the only option, no country would take him, not even Saudi, his country of birth. Muslim law says he must be 'buried' within 24hrs of death, so no time to negotiate alternatives. You can be sure forensic proof of it being him will surface soon, President Obama would not be able to make such a bold lie in front of the world, he is not some despotic third world leader. You can also be sure that regardless of what rational or scientific evidence is presented to the people, there will be some element who will shout 'conspiracy'. (not aimed at you wendy). Personally I cant see that a figure heads death will make much difference to Al-queda, much the same as the various assassinations of American presidents hasn't ended the American way, there are others waiting to fill his sandals, such is human nature. But yes, I would say, judging from Al-quedas previous behaviour, that there will be a price to pay for this. This price we must be willing to pay to eliminate his kind.

Monday, May 2, 2011 - 11:57 pm Good riddance, I say. But... who will we joke about now? Hello Kitty? Sounds about right...

Tuesday, May 3, 2011 - 12:02 am He had to be killed, no other way around it. Although symbolic in nature, it does show al-Qaida that we do have the nerve to go get them. I'm also curious how this hurts them from a monetary stand point. If "one eyed" Osama was the main the financier, how will they fill that gap? Pretty tough week for Trump though, first Obama slams his birth certificate in his face and now he helps lead the US in the killing of Bin Laden.

Tuesday, May 3, 2011 - 08:04 am Always interesting to watch the public in action. 1. Rather pointless to claim to have neutralized someone who could verify his existence with a single phone call to a major news organization. Voice recognition software is commercially available. 2. The fact that the Pakistani government clearly provided the intel and tacit approval for the operation should speak volumes. Hopefully, this indicates that the political power of the ISS has been broken within the Pakistani polity. 3. The only real signifance of UBL's departure is that he that he serves much less value as just another martyr than as a living folk hero. 4. Conspiracy theories will abound as the Internet has provided the ultimate forum for mass ignorance. 5. The world DOES NOT revolve around domestic US politics.

Tuesday, May 3, 2011 - 03:43 pm I bet he is surprised at the climate right about now. And the distinct scarcity of virgins. Open Sesame: I dig the birth certificate, rofl. Hawaii has had months now to come up with one from scratch and integrate it into the "official" works, together with a seemingly plausible backstory.

Wednesday, May 4, 2011 - 03:52 am My gripe....... Obama is taking credit for da kill. It is our American soldiers and Allies that deserve all the credit. It has been a joint effort and will continue to be one in the war against terrorism and senseless killing.

Wednesday, May 4, 2011 - 10:38 am Omg, a politician is taking credit of a group effort to boost his own opinion rates. The end is near ;) And aye, senseless killing of all humans will continue in the name of war on terror... *sob*
