Monday, April 4, 2011 - 07:14 pm Why people in many parts around the World hate U.S.A? It looks like they hate Americans more and more. I want to know what was the cause, and why they do this?

Monday, April 4, 2011 - 07:27 pm Well, US do wage several wars raging today. There are ofc many theories why there's a popular opinion against US today, but besides warmongering, id guess its some regular jealously as well. Being the richest world in world does not always bring friends. I do personally have great respect for the US. Some in my kin emigrated there in the past, and the ppl ive met in US have been great. However, its not the ordinary decent man that rules the US, but some elitist jerks, and those jerks are giving US a bad name. With election of Obama we in EU atlest hoped for a new start. But darn it, there we got a sour surprise.

Monday, April 4, 2011 - 07:34 pm Ive been overseas so i speak from experiences We are seen as self centered, lieing, warmongering people with money Either your a Rich CEO or a Rambo in the military. Women are fat and ugly or a Beautiful bombshell. Those are the normal stereotypes about Americans All other countries see is how we act and when u have a government following the "Do as i say not as i do" then u have republicans whining like children because they not in power doesn't make us look any better either does a president with no back bone(And yes i voted Obama) The world only sees what we show with 2wars and libya, bad econ, spending out the roof, and sending relief aid all over...What are they supposed to think?

Monday, April 4, 2011 - 08:33 pm It's the hip thing to do.

Monday, April 4, 2011 - 09:07 pm We have the money and the guns and act like it. They do not. When these three things are absent, the world will think we're cool because we're just like them and won't like China (presumably) because they have the money and the guns and act like it. Anyway, closest experience with foreigners is illegal immigrants and legal immigrants . . . so take my opinion for what it's worth.

Monday, April 4, 2011 - 09:49 pm America, due to the nature of being free from consequence, has become home to most of the worlds economic terrorists. Under the name of US Capitalism, these economic terrorists infiltrate societies and strip them for all they are worth. Leaving the people of those societies with nothing to call their own. Pwnd. Then these Pwnd people see these US Fat Cats rolling around on their beach trying to get up with their Rolexs and money clips shinning in the sun, and these Pwnd people think to themselves...........U ate all the pies, U ate all the pies, U Fat Bastards, U Fat Bastards, U ate all the pies ;)

Monday, April 4, 2011 - 11:14 pm LOL! Nix, best post I ever saw you make!

Tuesday, April 5, 2011 - 07:48 am We reap what we sow, Most are Americans are dumbfounded by the fact that we are so despised and tend to chalk it up to jealousy. The sad fact is that very few Americans have the least idea about the conduct of both our government and (as much as it galls me to agree with, Nick) our business practices. With the demise of Communism, the comparatively innocuous behaviors of developed, industrialized nations are exposed as the truly obnoxious expressions of domineering arrogance that they have always been. I hope that I don't see the day that the US is faced with the reality that we may destroy the world, but not fight it.

Tuesday, April 5, 2011 - 06:03 pm Linebacker Six. You mean that U.S.A could destroy the World? You should think twice B4 give this statement. If the rest of the World decides to destroy U.S, we would never be able to survive. Previous American generetions, Politicians, had many aggressive foreign policies toward other countries. But it was natural. Which leaders would deny to bring profits to the country? If I was in their positions, American politicians, I would do the same thing. Nowadays, people hate Americans. What should Americans do to gain trust from them again? If we can get through this stage, we will be good.

Tuesday, April 5, 2011 - 11:29 pm The US, Great Britain and all allied countries should keep their noses out of other countries businesses. I am heartened to see Pres. Obama going this way regarding Libya. To the rest of the world it must be quite obvious that the west is looking after its own interests under the guise of protecting non-combatants, upholding human rights (defined by us), and bringing democracy to these poor regions that are so so demanding it (sarcasm intended). No wonder the US and, maybe to a lesser degree because the UK doesn't have such a large military presence, the UK are not respected much elsewhere. You keep poking a hornets nest and you're going to get stung.

Wednesday, April 6, 2011 - 07:02 pm After the WW 2, U.S decided Hard power as its foreign policy toward other countries but Western countries(U.S supported Eastern Europe countries to declare independence from Communist SOVIET UNION). The Cuban Missile Crisis showed SOVIET UNION anger. However, Americans ignored the World. After the collaps of SOVIET UNION, U.S.A did not keep its promise which was to help RUSSIA economy, at this time Soviet Union became Russia. It was a very difficult situation for Russians during this time. Many Russian women were exported around the world to MAKE MONEY. During this time, China was only country in the World helped Russia to improve its economy. Seeing all Russian women avenge Americans, Hillary Clinton travelled to Russia in 2007.I can't tell you all what U.S.A did to people around the World. You have to research to know more. In conclusion, some people around the World are ready to give up their lives to take Americans down. Some people perdict that after the year 2012, U.S.A could be compared like a car going down the hill with no brake.

Thursday, April 7, 2011 - 02:23 am As an Aussie, I feel qualified to make a statement here. Now, I'm not racist against US Americans; I love me some US citizens! To be completely honest, actually, I think pretty much everyone in Australia thinks the actual *people* of the US are okay. What actually pisses us off about the USA is that the government is so...arrogant! You've got all these guns, you spend billions of dollars on your military every year, and so you've got swagger. President Bush seemed like a right old moron; that made your government seem like a bunch of morons. Your wars in Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, all seem like failures. Your government's justification for these wars - "A war on terror/Communism" - seems like a load of crap and paints your country as the world's policeman. Yet you can't win your wars...hm. Your government is spending billions on the military and neglecting healthcare and education to maintain its position as the world's policeman. Here in Australia, you don't have to pay to go to the doctor - the government pays most of the bill for you. This means that anyone can see a doctor anytime. When Obama tried to introduce such a bill in the US, he got shouted down because it's apparently fiscally irresponsible to take care of your citizens. Now from an Aussie point of view, that seems like a load of rubbish, so the collective question here is, "Why the fuck are you spending billions on the defence force when you could be making a country full of intelligent, happy, and healthy people?" And our collective answer on your behalf is "Because your government is full of arrogant pricks who want to control other countries through force and military might." There are a few other, smaller issues I could mention, but really, that's the crux of the matter - that your government comes across as stupid, ignorant, power-hungry, and arrogant. Couple that with the stereotypical image of a millionaire Texan with a big gun and a brain the size of a pea, and that's what half your Congress seems to be from an outsider's perspective. Now, before you all hate on me - this stuff isn't necessarily true, it's just the way it seems from outside. In the same way that water seems shallower from above, and you don't actually understand how deep it is till you get in, our view of your country is almost definitely shallower than the view of an American citizen. So to reiterate - this is just public opinion from an outsider's perspective. In regards to the American people proper, most Aussies think you're okay. We recognise there are some wackjobs - Charles Manson, the Westboro Church, the guys who bomb abortion clinics, rednecks - but every country has dickheads. Most Australians think that Americans are alright. In my personal experience, I've met a few US wackjobs - rednecks, fundamentalists - but the vast majority of my US friends and acquaintances are alright. At the very least, the US people here on SC seem okay to me.

Thursday, April 7, 2011 - 12:05 pm Well, we are certainly far from perfect, but I'm not gonna live anywhere else in the world. Ask the people of Kuwait, are they glad we stopped Hussein from crushing them? Ask the people from Libya, are they glad we stopped them from being slaughtered by their own leader? No one else wants to step up and be "The Worlds Polceman" It would actually be nice to not have our soldiers being killed for others freedom, on foreign soil. Bash us all you want. Bash our wackjobs....seems I remember someone named Hitler who was another wackjob that we helped stop. Yeah, maybe we shoulda just let him continue to take over the whole continent of Europe. Take a visit to Arlington National Cemetery and you will not only see the sacrifices we have made for the "freedom of the world", you will be humbled. God bless the USA

Thursday, April 7, 2011 - 05:10 pm EC. With this statment, You have a right to slap your face. Qoute: Yeah, maybe we shoulda just let him, Hitler, continue to take over the whole continent of Europe. I do agree that EC has a good point. Living in USA is much better than else where.

Thursday, April 7, 2011 - 06:02 pm The Libyan rebels are victims of propaganda as are the rest of this dense world populace. That man wasn't killing his civilians anymore than any other western nation. The Libyan People had not at all to fear from an 80 year old dictator. The rebels did. And still do. It amazes me how easy it is for the media to implant in so many minds that the Libyan rebellion spurred on by the United States is anything like what happened in Egypt. It is sickening. EC, protesting civilians, and people who think rather than leave a country they are unhappy in and instead start a civil war for control of a country can never be one in the same. If you think so, see if any protest turned 'down with the government'... and 'hell no we won't go' doesn't turn into a massacre here. There are profound differences between rallying for change, and rallying for control. What we are doing in Libya, like Iraq, is bullshite masked by some Knight in Shining Armor crap. The Libyan dictators only crime is he wouldn't shut his mouth about the US going into Muslim countries and the disgusting list of dirty deeds the US has covered up for so long, at the UN with a world camera on him. Comparing the Libyan Dictator to Hitler. comon man... a ridiculous stretch. Living In America is better than anywhere else because they have done a much better job at making you believe you are free, can influence the way the country is moving, and a phenomenal media machine to highlight those who do have power control and freedoms you won't ever. Open your eyes man. America is fuzzed up. Don't smooth it over with well, its better than Kuwait or Libya. That's like two guys beating the hell out of a Woman, and the people watching said 'Oh well, at least they didn't rape her."

Thursday, April 7, 2011 - 06:35 pm Quote: That's like two guys beating the hell out of a Woman, and the people watching said 'Oh well, at least they didn't rape her." Are you one of the people who watches 2 men beating a woman?

Thursday, April 7, 2011 - 06:41 pm Me, I'd be one of the men doing the beatin'

Friday, April 8, 2011 - 03:53 am I am asking all of you stop posting in this topic, please

Friday, April 8, 2011 - 03:58 am I agree with Psycho Honey. That's a fairly common response EC...Personaly, I want to stay and fight for what should be. If you don't wanna hear it, don't seek it out, or heed your own option and start packing. It may be the best place to pretend atm, We want better. Happy tools can go back in the drawer.

Friday, April 8, 2011 - 11:33 am Wow, EC, you certainly took my observations about the common opinions I've seen in my country that are in no way against your people personally. Shit, man. In regards to World War II, don't make me laugh. You had a hand in beating Hitler, but it was a minor one. You know who really beat the Nazis? The Russians. The Russians, who absorbed the biggest invasion in history, then turned around and laid the smackdown on Hitler. The Russians, who were already in Berlin when the Brits, the Aussies and the Yanks were still piss-farting around in West Germany. The Russians. In regards to Iraq and Afghanistan, I understand that your nation wants other nations to be free, but invading them and killing thousands upon thousands of civilians isn't the way to do it. I appreciate the sentiment, and I in no way am disrespecting the US soldiers in those countries. Those men and women are brave, strong people, but they are being sent in to foreign lands to die for a government that wants to control the fate of other nations. Listen to Wendy - she puts the whole "fate of other peoples" better than I could. And Wendy, your observations regarding Libya are very insightful. Kudos.

Friday, April 8, 2011 - 12:13 pm Dog pile on EC.....who's next? I'd like to teach the world to sing, in perfect harmony....I'd like to buy the world a coke and keep it company

Friday, April 8, 2011 - 03:13 pm Matt, I agree with most of your observations except your WW2 thoughts. You seem to forget the war in the Pacific, in which the US bore the brunt of the fighting. USSR was able to concentrate on the German threat, while we worried about Japan. The Russians were able to move some of their best divisions to Moscow in late 1941 to stop the German attempts to take their capital. Also, the US supply effort enabled the USSR to concentrate on building T34's, which were the best Allied tank in the war. Consequently, the T34's were designed by a US tank designer J. Walter Christie. Link = http://www.battle-fleet.com/pw/his/t34soviet_tank.htm and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lend-Lease However, there can be no doubt that the Russian contribution was huge.

Friday, April 8, 2011 - 07:10 pm I do. And I'm sure.....well I know that people around the world hated and still hate my beloved England for the crimes done on them by my colonial ancestors in the name of good. The USA, due to its nature and foreign policy, is now experiencing what I and my fellow countrymen have experienced for hundreds of years. But instead of learning from your Mother Land and thinking before you act, you just do what is in your best interests. F#@K the rest of us. Now dont get me wrong...........As I said in my first post, its the Fat Cats that give the rest of you caring, responsible and intelligent people a bad name. You a Fat Cat Lorelei?

Saturday, April 9, 2011 - 09:28 am I do have an abundance of shoes...... does that qualify me? I would say I'm more like a pampered kitten. Meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeow. winks

Monday, April 11, 2011 - 02:47 am We act like the police force of the world, when actually the only reason we do it for is for oil. Proof: when we invaded Iraq in '03, Bush had soldiers guarding the oil fields, while the museums, which had some of the oldest human artwork on the planet, were looted and burned. Although I think that other people wouldn't like us even if we didn't just do it for oil.

Monday, April 11, 2011 - 02:50 am also, @ sima (first post) the U.S. could easily destroy the world, we have enough nukes to destroy it several times.

News about COICA There are renewed efforts by senator Leahy to reintroduce the COICA bill this year, which will allow to censor on demand any website the entertainment industry of the United States dislike.
