Psycho_Honey | Tuesday, March 15, 2011 - 12:23 am Okay this has happened a few times already. There are 5 possible reasons. Many of which have nothing to do with me and are completely out of my control. On my end there is no reason these pop sales should not go through. If there is, the preventing variable should be given, so that I can correct it, not 5 that I have to guess. 1,000,000 people from IDC TRASH 05 on LU 4.00 GC 6.00 GC 4 can't accept bids view bids 1,000,000 people from IDC TRASH 05 on LU 4.00 GC 6.00 GC 3 can't accept bids view bids 1,000,000 people from IDC TRASH 05 on LU 4.00 GC 6.00 GC 3 can't accept bids view bids Can't accept bid on population The bid on population can't be accepted: 1. The bidder does not have enough GC(Should not be allowed to happen, or not be able to retract.) 2. The offering party or the bidder is no longer the owner(not true in this case, I own the country selling the pop, I'm not sure what the bidder has to do with this condition) 3. The offering party does not have enough people anymore(I do have enough people) 4. The offering party is in war with another president(The Countries are not in war, is this general to any or all wars total, even not involving the countries making the sale??) 5. The population of the bidder would exceed the maximum(I doubt this to be the case, I thought pop limits were removed?) What's going on here? |
Crafty (Kebir Blue) | Tuesday, March 15, 2011 - 03:23 pm If I had to guess, I would say condition #4 has come into play. Reading the wording carefully - "The OFFERING PARTY is in war...". |
Psycho_Honey (Little Upsilon) | Tuesday, March 15, 2011 - 04:46 pm Well, I can sell pop from other countries at the same time the error happened. Plausible, but if that were the case then sale wouldn't go through in another country. I'm going to assume that wording has another meaning and should be rendered "The country of the offering party is in war with another president Thx for helping CC, but being forced to play the guessing game instead of w3 find out what the problem is getting annoying. They are very busy, I get that, but too many weird things going on. |
Psycho_Honey | Saturday, March 26, 2011 - 08:37 am Now Back to the Original Pop Glitch error. I have consistently sold 2 offers of pop out of three total offers for 3 separate countries. None of the conditions exist to prevent a sale. If there was, the first 2 offers wouldn't not sell successfully. It isn't a workers problem, because I sell the same offers daily. Add to that that it doesn't even come up in the message as to why I can't accept the bid. So, something is up. Whatever the problem is, can we have the thing tell us exactly the problem. So it can be addressed. I am pretty sure the problem is server side as this continues repeatedly over and over. |
Psycho_Honey (Little Upsilon) | Sunday, March 27, 2011 - 09:53 am Isolated it to someone bidding who doesn't have the coins. This should be stopped. Possible solutions You shouldn't be able to mass bid on every pop offer unless you have the coins to cover. You cannot commit those coins to any other purchases until the auction ends or until you retract the bid. Also, I think the game only recognizes the highest bid. So if someone bid 4 because they have it, the person who bids 5 and doesn't have the gc by the time the auction ends kills the lower bid and the game does not take the next lowest offer. I suspect this is because a bunch of free account players are bidding on every offer they see. One or two bids goes through and they jam up the rest of the bids unless someone goes higher. I've sold just about as much population as anyone else and i have never had this happen before free accounts were introduced. Now that the issue is isolated, I hope we can adopt one or more or all of these suggestions to fix the issue. |

To add further to this issue, here is the error message I got while trying to manually accept the bid. At least the proper error shows now.
Quote: Sorry, the bidder must become a Full Member to continue trading on the Cash Market. Please accept another bid.
So now that this has been ignored and we know it is free players can we do something anything about that? I mean let them bid on GM pop, not player pop. And anyways, why are they allowed to bid if I can't accept because they aren't full members? This is preventing full members from bidding on my sale offers, and I'm getting kinda moody. Anyways, hope any of you mods or Tommi will acknowledge this problem and treat it. |
Crafty (Little Upsilon) | Monday, April 18, 2011 - 09:36 pm My 2 cents worth... I agree with your reasoning Wendy. I can see why free members cant bid on pres' pop but they shouldn't be able to actually place a bid, just get a message saying sorry, members only, or please bid on GM pop. Also the not having enough coins thing is really annoying as I've known players bid on lots of offers, one is accepted meaning they have no coin left and all their other bids mess up your chances of selling to someone with the coins. |
Psycho_Honey (Little Upsilon) | Monday, April 18, 2011 - 11:36 pm Thx CC. I hope they pick up on this sooner than later. |
