Slock1792 (Little Upsilon) | Wednesday, March 9, 2011 - 06:04 am Health Index = 127.88 for 65M population. 810 hospitals 544 needed 20 war hospitals 110 special clinics Health cost per month 90B health contributions from public 30B. Is this normal? My health cost somehow outstrips every single other cost by far. Even my defense costs and education costs which have much higher indices. Anyone know a way to lower the costs? Country is New York on LU. |
Scarlet (Little Upsilon) | Wednesday, March 9, 2011 - 10:45 am I don't think this is normal. There are only two things that could be doing this: Government Salaries and Country Stock Quality (I don't know the exact products, but Medical Equipment is a good place to start checking). I'd advise checking both. I'm getting ~30B on 660 total hospitals (as compared to your 940 total) with 226 government salaries and ~103 Q country stock (skimming all the products). |
SuperSoldierRCP (Little Upsilon) | Wednesday, March 9, 2011 - 06:00 pm I agree with Scarlet thats way to high My Government salaries are about 600 with 1200hospitals and i pay 80B a month Hospitals use Services High-tech services Books and Paper Medical Equipment Medical Materials They to buy everything at 100Q |
CorporatePartner (Fearless Blue) | Wednesday, March 9, 2011 - 11:02 pm You likely don't need so many Special Clinics, and the War Hospitals are questionable. You are allowed to convert normal Hospitals at any time, with some per world month limit, but that shouldn't be an issue. Your costs are based on worker salaries, "government salaries" for things like Hospitals, too, so you may want to check those. There are different strategies to adjust those, but basically they normally are near the average corporation salary. That average can obviously be influenced by a few high or low salary corporations, or can be overall raised or lowered by changing the overall salary levels. Also, your index may not be reflecting your 'true' level, as it is very slow to change. If you recently built Hospitals, even a while ago, that index may still be adjusting. You could probably either drop some Hospitals, or grow your population to utilize them at a lower index, if you want to lower those costs based on your population levels. The recommendations made to check your country buying strategy are good ones. |
Slock1792 (Little Upsilon) | Thursday, March 10, 2011 - 07:08 am Thanks, I think changing the product quality did the trick. Even lowered a bunch of other costs like government costs, educations, transportations, etc... so far monthly costs are down 50B and falling. |
