Tom Willard | Friday, October 8, 2010 - 05:06 pm Cooperative marketing Completed The cooperative marketing function is now completed and statistics are automated. All data from the start to date is processed and available to anyone who participated in the program. We will now pay everyone for their effort each month before the 21st. War Levels Updated The power of the C3 countries in levels 2-4 is reduced. They now have a smaller number of air defense wings and a smaller number of fortifications. Increased capacity for Air Transport Units The capacity of transport airplanes is increased. This will reduce the number of flights needed. We will also increase the speed of these units and make it faster and easier to transport units. The change of speed will be installed later this month. Converting Game money into Gold coins The function under direct trading is open for everyone who does not have loans in countries, enterprises and corporations. Loans must be paid before game money can be exchanged into gold coins. Garrisons Several errors and incomplete functions related to garrisons are solved but did not make it into the upgrade. These improvements will be installed next week. This will include the removal of garrisons from corporations where the garrison is not needed (private and public corporations) and showing ammunition levels in garrisons etc. Decreasing military buildup time Several changes are underway in military units that may make it easier to build up your army. These changes will include: smaller numbers of weapons in all unit, (proportional reduction), and a reduction in the numbers of ammunition used while preserving the total power of each attack. This will reduce the numbers that are needed and the waiting time, also the cost may be reduced. Another addition will allow for automatic building of units with auto purchasing of everything that is needed. It will reduce time and clicking. To complete the list, we will make it possible to upgrade units at least twice faster. These changes will be completed in the coming weeks. |
whiteboy (Little Upsilon) | Friday, October 8, 2010 - 06:40 pm Good stuff Tom, sounds like some nice changes being implemented. When can we expect the roll-out of further war levels and awards for them? Also, has the situation with higher level c3's being turned into standard c3's after takeover been looked at? |
Parsifal (Kebir Blue) | Friday, October 8, 2010 - 10:27 pm Tom, Do you plan on allowing remaining weaponry and ammo to stay in the c3 after it is taken? I just took down a country and all weaponry except what was left in the targets went away. It would seem that if we have to fight them and put out the appreciably higher asset outlay, we should get them. The attacking country was The Independent State of Abduran. The defeated country was The Empire of Basilka. It was a level 3 attack. Cordially, Parsifal |
Blueserpent (Little Upsilon) | Saturday, October 9, 2010 - 01:57 am Loans must be paid b4 u can buy or sell coins......does this include ecpc? cos thats all i have in debt and u cant add cash to pay them off. |
whiteboy (Little Upsilon) | Saturday, October 9, 2010 - 06:05 am Yeah, this debt thing could be a problem, especially because the refresh can take up to 8 hours to show that you aren't in debt AND trying to figure out what is in debt. Perhaps there should be some kind of maximum debt limit, like 1T per empire so we aren't having to track down very small details just to get GC's? |
Psycho_Honey (Little Upsilon) | Saturday, October 9, 2010 - 06:07 am Well now that WB said something, I'm sure they'll get right on that! +1 point WB |
Psycho_Honey (Little Upsilon) | Saturday, October 9, 2010 - 06:08 am Yes, it bothered me to say that. |
Keto (Kebir Blue) | Saturday, October 9, 2010 - 07:37 am Wendy, there is a new thread for bickering. Use it there and not here. |
Tom Willard | Saturday, October 9, 2010 - 12:11 pm You can always sell GCs for cash. It is never blocked and there are always offers on the direct trading pages. (even very funny and profitable ones that give you instant profit). The idea here is that you should not buy GCs if you have an outstanding debt. Selling a coin and paying your debt is always possible. I know about the time it takes to update the loans. It is not easy to fix. It is currently max 8 hours on WG but average 4 and shorter on other worlds. Average of 2 hours on LU. |
Tom Willard | Saturday, October 9, 2010 - 12:16 pm The next update, coming week or a week later, will include at least another four War Levels. We will change the "post war" situation in the C3 countries and there will be awards. |
Psycho_Honey (Golden Rainbow) | Saturday, October 9, 2010 - 01:46 pm Sounds Good |
Parsifal | Saturday, October 9, 2010 - 02:11 pm thank you Tom |
Blueserpent (Little Upsilon) | Saturday, October 9, 2010 - 03:01 pm Tom, You have included enterprise controlled corps in this.No matter how many coins i sell, i cant add cash to ECPC. All my state and private corps have no debt across 4 worlds, only ECPC's...give us a break, lol. |
Maestro2000 | Saturday, October 9, 2010 - 03:27 pm The new debt update should be reversed. In the real world companies do operate with debt. This update is a restriction of trade and I'm opposed to all restrictions of trade. |
Orbiter (Little Upsilon) | Saturday, October 9, 2010 - 09:49 pm i agree with blue, if public corp debt blocks you from buying/selling gc, its going to make it unpractical to IPO at all! say by to the share market!!! i also agree with maestro, although, i'd be happy just to not have to screwed with all my public corps all the time. |
Steven Ryan (Golden Rainbow) | Sunday, October 10, 2010 - 03:59 am This game has become stuffed |
Parsifal (Kebir Blue) | Sunday, October 10, 2010 - 02:31 pm stuffed? |
Psycho_Honey (Little Upsilon) | Sunday, October 10, 2010 - 03:48 pm LooL |
Danny Miller (White Giant) | Sunday, October 10, 2010 - 05:49 pm We should be able to add cash to public corps, if this rule stands. The unintended consequences are worse than the problems this change may fix. Public corps need more enhancements, not added disadvantages. |
Maestro2000 (Kebir Blue) | Sunday, October 10, 2010 - 07:14 pm Public companies: 1) Players should be allowed to convert debt to equity. 2) 85% Rule - Players which control at least 85% of a public company should be allowed to buy the remaining shares. A premium of 3x current share price would be the purchase price. 3) Player Inactive for 2 months Rule: When a player is inactive for two months, Robocop should hostile bid their companies.(Public and private) |
Donatello (Little Upsilon) | Sunday, October 10, 2010 - 07:28 pm ... |
SuperSoldierRCP (Little Upsilon) | Sunday, October 10, 2010 - 10:07 pm Tom Can we do something about lowering the buying cost of C3 as it stands its 120GC for a stranded C3 i dont war and even for an econ player that's pretty high (that's $16) if we could lower it to 50GC that would be reasonable |
Tom Willard | Sunday, October 10, 2010 - 11:05 pm Corporations can have debt and we have recently increased the debt limit in corporations, preventing bankruptcies because the corporations become larger and purchase more raw materials. The only thing we are saying here is that if you have so much cash you want to use it to purchase gold coins, use part of it first, to pay your debt. As to public corporations: it is possible, and was always possible to issue new shares by the corporation and sell them on the stock market to raise cash. This is how public corporations raise cash. This is why they go public. Adding cash by the largest share holder does not seem fair. There are many shareholders and only one will pay? I do agree that if you are unable to pay your debt, in a public corporation, then you cannot be blocked from buying gold coins. I will look into it tomorrow and check with the engineer who programmed this function. On buying back public corps shares if you own a very large majority, I also agree. This will make it easier to take a corporation back from the market. Don't hold your breath for this one. It is a little more complex and we really want to complete several items urgently. I will do my best. |
Psycho_Honey (Little Upsilon) | Monday, October 11, 2010 - 01:18 am Now that sounds very good. Now maybe we can get our shares from hardheads and Investment funds that won't sell even when you tank the corps. Time saver! |
Danny Miller (White Giant) | Monday, October 11, 2010 - 04:09 am Thanks Tom! |
SuperSoldierRCP (Little Upsilon) | Monday, October 11, 2010 - 06:54 am Tom A personal issue i found is before the war level i was at war with a C3 and an inactive president attempting to learn the war engine. I warring just as the update happened. I now notice that im a Level 3 and my empire can be attacked my anyone who experienced. Can i get this removed to level 0? Can everyone be checked i never won either war so idk how i would have been ranked as a level 3. Is this a bug and how can i get it corrected |
Blueserpent | Monday, October 11, 2010 - 11:44 am Thxs Tom |
Dave (White Giant) | Monday, October 11, 2010 - 02:20 pm where does ot say what your current war level is |
Tom Willard (Golden Rainbow) | Monday, October 11, 2010 - 05:07 pm if you want your war level removed, please mail us from the mail account used for your account registration. we have already patched and will patch in the coming week or two, anyone who went to level 2 or 3 and does not want it. Some people inherited war history. so just tell us why you want it removed and we will accommodate you. We do not want anyone forced into war levels they don't want. From now on, however, it is up to you do decide if you want to go up the war levels. |
