Laguna | Friday, September 10, 2010 - 08:44 pm The web has come a long way since it's inception. In these past few years, browsers had to re-invent themselves to get with the times, and now it seems that it is the code's time to re-invent itself again. Google is pushing for the standardization and implementation of HTML5, and it that spirit launched a website to demonstrate what can be done with that code. You can find some cool experiments there like good-old classic Asteroids, colorful cubes, and a starfield that reminds me of SC's former background image. You can see other experiments at: http://www.chromeexperiments.com/ The guys at W3C should give it a go and submit an experiment as well. |

Poisonous Friend (Golden Rainbow) | Sunday, September 12, 2010 - 04:15 am I'd be more interested if this wasn't "Chrome" specific. Ultimately, until the various browser makers quit trying to push a specific video codec for the streaming video markup based upon their own profiteering goals in complete disregard of the fact that HTML5 is a revision and improvement of HTML4. HTML5 isn't about video, it's about cleaner web design. |
