Monday, August 30, 2010 - 07:44 am  I posted a while ago that there would be an announcement upcoming and this is it, sorry it took longer than expected but we were trying to get some things in order. This is an official announcement of the end of The Mob on all worlds except for FB. After the latest war with WGC we decided that we indeed had become too dominant in war given the current state of the game. The idea of The Mob was not to hoard a bunch of the best war players, we came together as a group of friends with similar interests in the game. It has become clear however that ultimately that is exactly what happened, not only with our fed members but also with our allies. Just as groups of social econ members tend to group together we have done the same as war players. The power base has become too consolidated. What we see now is a completely different SC than what we saw in the past, one that rejects and is offended by what we worked so hard to master, there are reasons for this and certainly having a power fed that seems somewhat unstoppable is one of them. The biggest reason is that the art of war has been lost by a lack of information sharing, through both federations and individual relationships. Each member of The Mob has been filled with information which can and should be shared with the player base, so the hope is that new federations will spring up or members will join other federations, ultimately sharing the knowledge that they have gained with both new and more veteran players who haven't had much experience in the art of war. The GM's have been working on changes which will have some effect on the game obviously, however our feeling is that if the war game is to be revived at all the players have to be at the forefront and in the interest of the game we have all decided to do our part to teach players not only war, but also the econ that is necessary to support warslaves. Serpent and Keto have already begun by starting their own federation, Insane Asylum and are recruiting new members. The rest of us are figuring out our options, seeing what is best for the game, more specifically, the war game and will make our choices soon enough. I want to thank all of my fedmates for their support. What we built, as a team, was the most dominant fed this game has ever seen, not because we are so much better than those that came before us, but because in a time that war has become a lost art, we chose to master it and because we built a coalition of fedmates and allies that could be unrivaled in our time. You guys have been the most loyal, skillful and courageous fedmates that anyone could ever ask for, each of you deserves far more praise and respect for your skills than you have received, however I'm sure that will come in time as you are all seen as the great players that you are without others overshadowing. The breaking down of the individual Mob branches has already begun and will be complete shortly. We all look forward to what we hope is the eventual revival of the war game. We will remain together on FB but will begin actively recruiting players there to train. The hope is that ultimately players will form coalitions within each fed and want to seek their own power, spinning off and creating new federations within which they'll train even more people. It's obviously naive for us to believe that this will change everything or that it will move the needle more than a little bit, but our hope is that over time it is meaningful. And Orbiter buying WP is just a part of strategy. You do the same thing as I would be doing to rebuild after losing a war and getting ready for the next one.

| Tuesday, August 31, 2010 - 06:47 pm wendy, your the wp warrior, so i'm not sure what your talking about. an i've got wp up on one country in each of wg and lu, i'm hardly hiding. keith does have the right to speak his mind, but to out and out call some one a liar, with the theme that they are playing dead just to avoid being attacked... is well, the type of forum banter that leads to war. effectively calling out the mob and allies, so considering everything, yea, it sounded like he grew, a sack. its silly when some one threatens me or my friends to not look at what they got. thats the kind of lack of prep that i've been talking about. his point of being in wp until he's ready, considering the circumstances... well that one i have to except, as wise, in light of the recent past...

So if by playing possum you mean lying.. then you are wrong! However lucky for you guys we did not play 'shark', 'tiger', 'alligator', 'wolf', or any other animal that kills until there is no more to kill, otherwise.... well I think the community knows the answer to that. The reason I have WP and prolly the reason the rest do, although I cant speak for them, is because at the moment I do not want to fight. Which is precisely what any other player should do, if you do not desire to fight. Rest assured tho, we do not 'hide' behind WP while dec'g others! That is cowardly. I had 8 countries outta WP during that war, which represented 90% of my empire. The rest of us had many out of WP as well.
