I've encountered after a brief hiatus from the game a difficulty with continuing my personal progress on Little Upsilon due to these new automatic systems.

They were being introduced before I left and I turned them off steadily as they came in, since I needed the "help" like I needed a hole in my skull.

However, now I'm enjoying a nice situation where my lone "slave" country's populace is spiking randomly per the graphs even though previously the graphs were displayed as smooth curves or lines.

Now I've noticed a new message in the automatic systems: "Country Automation Features have no effect on countries in Game Level 4.
As of Game Level 3, a president should have the skills to run a country.
Beginners and general economic protection remains effective."

I've been "level 4" for awhile, however even after I shut it off originally, the log still shows things such as "Oct 02 2553 Your education system is not training the professions your industry needs. Some workers have been assigned a different profession. Please check the priorities in your education system. You may need to build more Schools and Universities."

However, my "level 1" main country on Golden Rainbow shows smooth curves, and the log for the automatic systems is mostly empty, same for my Kebir Blue operation. My main on Little Upsilon also appears to be immune to the issue.

They're rather easy to contrast, take a look at any country on the 3 worlds named Hemlock and the lone country on Little Upsilon named Monkshood.

I'd appreciate whatever the issue is being resolved, and would personally prefer not to be "assisted" in such a fashion since it seems to cause more problems than it fixes.

And yes, before anyone says to turn them off, the first thing I did on every world as they were introduced was turn them off. I've turned them back on and off already for Monkshood to see if that will have an impact.

That's beginners and general economic protection automation working. It happens when there's a shortage of High Level Workers. It's ubiquitous old news.

In the case of my slave, HLWs have not been a problem, whereas the current problem is HLMs which increasing the priority will not address the issue, since it "helpfully" rabbits it up and down to all sorts of craziness.

My main on LU is stuck at that mysterious 30k HLW cap and it doesn't have this annoying problem.

When this "feature" was introduced I immediately shut it off in my main and it addressed an issue with a spiky graph for senior doctors that had persisted since I started playing again on July 28th 2009. Possibly the only reason I noticed is because I do look at those graphs regularly to determine how I need to adjust my education priorities. Turning that off once it became "available" immediately turned that graph from a mess of spikes into a smooth curve.

Professionals are only converted to workers, if the workers are in shortage and if there are more than 200 000 professionals unemployed. Your HLMs should stick around.

I will try to look at your countries in tomorrow, but most likely it will be friday.

Not a problem mate. I have no significant issues with workers, but if things were going properly, things normally show as a smooth line/curve for a specific population not it shooting up an amount then spiking back down.

It's basically stalled things out for the entire country for me, I'm essentially working around it and ignoring it at the moment.
