Warren Buffett (Little Upsilon) | Friday, December 4, 2009 - 11:45 pm What`s the best way to improve defense index? I know people have said MIB increase defense force index. Just wondering if its the same thing cause it seems a lot harder to increase than Defense force index. |
Keno (Golden Rainbow) | Saturday, December 5, 2009 - 01:17 am buy 23000 MIB's should work out around 100 index points |
Warren Buffett (Little Upsilon) | Saturday, December 5, 2009 - 02:06 am Really, I had about 69000 MIB and only had approximately 147 Defense Index. On the other hand my Defensive force index was around 297. |
Tranquility (Golden Rainbow) | Saturday, December 5, 2009 - 02:31 am defense index is something like defensive force index/2 + offensive force index/4, so MIBs is the best way be careful though, MIBs alone don't win wars~ |
Warren Buffett (Little Upsilon) | Saturday, December 5, 2009 - 02:43 am Oh that makes much more sense now. Thank you, I will look more into building my defense, trying to gain some levels at the moment. Would it contribute to the Defense index if i reactivated more offensive units or that doesn't matter as long as I have possession of them? |
Daelin (Little Upsilon) | Saturday, December 5, 2009 - 03:01 am 1) Only actual forces count. Ammo doesn't. 2) Activated forces have a higher upkeep, use more officers/soldiers, and have a higher effect than deactivated forces (I believe it's about a factor of 4 for all of these). 3) Defense Index = Defensive Force Index * 50% + Offensive Force Index * 25% + Strategic Force Index * 25%. 4) Given that Defensive Force Index has twice the effect of the other indices on your Defense Index, and it's the cheapest to raise, if it's the sole intention to level, then MIB's are the cheapest/most effective method of doing so. 5) The Defense index moves quite slowly. If you decide to just buy 60k of MIBs over 2 - 3 game months, except quite a lag before the index catches up to the reality of your holdings. 6) This one isn't specifically to you, but to other new people who may not know it. In leveling, it's the average across all your countries, so if you're going for Level 10, as an example, you'll need an average Defense Index of 110 across all your countries, not just the main country. This holds for all the other requirements, as well. If I remember the numbers right, it's around 62k of activated MIBs to get a Defense Index of 100 (assuming all the contribution is from the MIBs). -Daelin |

whiteboy (Golden Rainbow) | Saturday, December 5, 2009 - 07:05 am Good job with the explanation Daelin...he's exactly correct, follow his advice and you'll be leveled up soon ;) |
MAGNUM (White Giant) | Thursday, February 2, 2012 - 07:08 am IM HAVING TROUBLE RAISING MY DEF. INDEX ALSO. I HAVE ABOUT 20 UNITS AIR AND GROUND BUT IM AT 30 TOPS INDEX.I JUST BOUGHT 15000 MIB TO AD TO THE 10000 I HAD. WILL THIS RAISE MY INDEX ENOUGH TO GET ME TO LEVEL 3. |
Crafty | Thursday, February 2, 2012 - 07:28 pm I dont like you already. You wont get any help by typing in caps all the time, you'll just get abuse. Digging up 2 year old threads is also stupid. Start a new thread in the beginners section if you have newb questions. |
SuperSoldierRCP (Little Upsilon) | Thursday, February 2, 2012 - 07:45 pm agreed hes even dug a thread from 08 and using all caps or "shouting" though the written word is pointless and annoying |
