spartacus303 (Little Upsilon) | Saturday, November 28, 2009 - 04:51 am This is a desperate cry for fixing the multi-clicking requirement for moving the sliding bars for military supplies and aircraft fuel by more than 20. Even better, let the players input their own quantity in boxes, and that's much less time consuming and easier. Please sign the petition below. From a returning veteran, Manny (also previously known as Attica and Coolhandluke) |
Inanna | Saturday, November 28, 2009 - 05:57 am There also seems to be a few minor irritations while loading the war screens maps. The maps aren't loading correctly. Around 80% of the time the map loads and then disappears. It is annoying but workable.... |
chrysostom (White Giant) | Saturday, November 28, 2009 - 06:23 am I agree. My first poll was based on this and it passed. It takes hundreds of clicks sometimes. The sliding bars work based on a percent of such large numbers sometimes that that is not useful. Please allow input boxes. |

spartacus303 | Tuesday, December 1, 2009 - 02:22 am It takes as many "signeds" until Tom W. does something about it. Maybe the next step is to send messages to the gamemaster about this issue. If 10, 20, 50 players complain, they cannot ignore us. |
Jo Salkilld (Golden Rainbow) | Wednesday, December 2, 2009 - 08:27 pm I pointed this out to the GMs in an email a little while ago and they told me they completely understood the point and would fix it. Give them a chance to get round to it. I have found that, while it sometimes takes some time, they are usually very good at keeping their promises Hugs and respect Jo |
spartacus303 (Little Upsilon) | Saturday, December 12, 2009 - 03:51 am Jo, The GMs made so many promises in the last six years, that I have my doubts about them keeping their promises. If they do, it takes a very long time. I could give you a list of all the features that were promised and not implemented or half-implemented. But instead I refer you to my poll that passed 30-3. Cheers Manny |
Laguna | Saturday, December 12, 2009 - 11:33 am I think it's time for a walk on memory lane: I left the game, im only here today because i wanted to ask about the trains. -- Manny. Great point Manny I am sure trains will be added and you are the best person to make sure they remain on the agenda. -- Jozzi Choooooo chooooooooo!! -- Tamara Talk to Manny first before you come with such ideas. Trains are owned by Manny. -- Jozzi Hahahaha. I forgot why I missed Manny, but it's all coming back to me. Chooooo chooooo!!! Look at Jozi, in move to piss off Manny, he added Car Engines before he added Trains. Shame on him. On a serious note, W3C moves faster than any public service that I am aware of. Lets be grateful for that. |
CraftyCockney | Saturday, December 12, 2009 - 01:51 pm You say that because you live where life is one long siesta LG. If I were to have waited 2 years for a train I may well have given up and hitch-hiked. /me sticks out thumb. Crafty |
spartacus303 (Little Upsilon) | Monday, December 14, 2009 - 08:04 pm Laguna still cannot explain why roads have cars airports have airplanes traintracks have nothing. Have anyone figured why civil airports cannot be built from the transport index ? Anyhow back on the petition, removing those lame sliders is not technically complex, so just get it done for once ! |
Inanna (Golden Rainbow) | Tuesday, December 15, 2009 - 03:30 pm Aagin, since the first time my problem was fixed, (or fixed itself), I have on my map a large number of unordered bases. I thought this was fixed, but should have known better. While fighting the map often loses itself into a black hole. Meaning I have to relentlessly reload the war screen before I can see anything on the war map. Also, I when I click 'My country' link, I often get redirected to different country. In this case it was Jack Jones' country. Why or how could this be happening? |
Inanna (Golden Rainbow) | Tuesday, December 15, 2009 - 03:32 pm Also, my army has risen to over 1,000,000 from about 600K in the last few hours. I am thinking it has to do with these new bases, who knows if they have any weapons in them? Please w3, can you look into it. This should seriously be impossible. |
Laguna | Tuesday, December 15, 2009 - 04:22 pm Sure I can, Manny. Traintracks don't have trains, because W3C is building a marvelous new feature that will introduction train based distribution to Simcountry and integrate it with the logistics of warfare. Ideally, we would love it if we could drive a train over enemy battalions, and send it against enemy hospitals. Plus, there are no trains to annoy Manny, which is a point that weights heavily. That, to me, Wendy, sounds partially like a browser error. And it sounds like your browser is Internet Explorer. What's your country's name, so I can have a look it? |

Inanna (Golden Rainbow) | Tuesday, December 15, 2009 - 05:57 pm And Thx You LG, you are most kind. W3 you owe LG some coinage, unless this is freelance? You do freelance work LG? |
Tom Willard | Tuesday, December 15, 2009 - 07:48 pm We will look into this sliders and solve the problem ASAP. |
Inanna (Golden Rainbow) | Tuesday, December 15, 2009 - 08:32 pm Oh skip over me ....SURE!!! Tom W. Thx I still Luuv ya |
Adrian Perez (Little Upsilon) | Tuesday, December 15, 2009 - 11:11 pm That would be a big help methinks |
spartacus303 (Little Upsilon) | Wednesday, December 16, 2009 - 01:55 am It took 3 weeks to get the attention of Tom Willard. Well done people. Now we wait to see how long "ASAP" means. |
Tom Willard (White Giant) | Wednesday, December 16, 2009 - 05:14 pm We will add a little icon next to the slide bar. (all slide bars). when you click on it, it will show an edit field where you can enter the number you want. It will be java script so there will be no delay. This feature was asked for a long time ago and we agree that it will help. we will try to include the feature in the next update coming Tuesday. If not, it will be the Tuesday after that. No trains yet. |
spartacus303 (Little Upsilon) | Wednesday, December 16, 2009 - 10:11 pm Thanks Tom! You're a great man. Say hi to Jozi for me. He promised trains 4 years ago. Well before anyone asked for space shuttles. Let's get back to the basics. |
Laguna | Thursday, December 17, 2009 - 08:52 pm Don't feel bad, Wendy. Willard skipped Manny's trains too, which is far more understandable. Chooo! chooooo! Next stop Train Museum. All aboard! Choooooo! choo! What do you understand as freelance? Looking around for bugs and other small stuff? I do that all the time. If you are talking about programming languages, I don't understand much. |
Daelin (Little Upsilon) | Thursday, December 17, 2009 - 09:13 pm Trains don't use train tracks! Space shuttles do! |
Inanna (Golden Rainbow) | Friday, December 18, 2009 - 11:57 pm Well, I'm good on GR now, did you remote in and help my browser or is sim going crazy? I tried to follow C#, it was fun but I lost my enthusiasm, can you blame me? I can name ten bugs off the top of my head. I have come to the conclusion that they aren't really bugs at all. The workaround you are forced to use to workaround them, are actually the bugs. What to do, what to do? As far as trains are concerned, this is the most practical element missing from simcountry, I wonder how we can raise the priority on it. Why in SimCountry haven't we had a Jozichat in ages? |
Tom Willard | Saturday, December 19, 2009 - 12:27 pm Inanna: Jozi chat? whenever someone wants to organize it, Jozi will be happy to participate. |
Laguna | Saturday, December 19, 2009 - 05:10 pm I remember now... I noticed it had been awhile since the last session, so I was going to schedule one for this weekend, but, well, with other things on my mind, I forgot. In the coming weeks, it will be inconvenient to schedule anything due to the holidays season. |
Inanna (Golden Rainbow) | Saturday, December 19, 2009 - 07:00 pm January... or so, thx Tom. Been awhile since I have been graced with your presence(s). I look forward to it. |
