My countries finance index dropped from 200 to 157 in one game month, nothing in the country changed during that month, or any other month for that matter. Profit is 3x cost in that country, and i cannot see a valid reaason for the plummeting FI, any ideas? |

Anyway, check the financial screen. Generally, finalcial index is linked to the profit a country makes. Are you sure nothing has changed? |

Yes, im quite familiar with the finance pages, and yes other than a reduction in costs, nothing has changed that would result in a such reduction of the FI, the way it is calculated is 'supposed' to result in only small changes per game month, certainly NOT a 50 point drop. by my calcualtions my FI should be around 209 at the moment. I will email the GM's.
BTW, i can work out what OTTGTFO and there is no need to be rude, had i of wanted to post in the 'help' section, i would have done so, and you are exactly? |

I thought I was being funny, but I guess I over stepped the mark. It does seem to me that the topic isnt appropriate for this section. Perhaps, though, as a 'general' section anything is appropriate, even when there are sections explicitly designed to cater for such things.
I think you, Sam, have taken a dislike to me for some reason. I dont know quite why. |

When posting i treat everyone from new players, to veterans with a great deal of respect, and i certainly expect the same in return.

Tendo's post of "any ideas?" seems a general question to me, not a specific "help me here" one.
We don't have a topic for FI, or say health or soybeans. (note to oneself: post suggestion for soybean topic in suggestion topic).
Should it have been posted under war, trade, federations? no...ah, nationalities...no.
Should the question remain un-answered and the issue cause unjustified harm to his country, then it may well be justified to post in the 'problems' topic.

A week or so ago, Laguna was explaining to another player in chat about how the equation for FI changes when costs rise above 100B a month and this has a dramatic effect on the FI figure at the time of the change.
I don't recall much else about it, but it could be something along those lines... |

You could have a point there perhaps Kiteless (Good to see you again btw). The Costs in the 'offending' country recently dropped below 100B, perhaps around the same time as the plummet in FI. I will try increasing costs to above 100B to see the effect.

Hey Tendo I had the exact same thing happen to me on LU... My main's fi was around 285 and dropped to 160 but still makes the exact same amount each month! I wasn't really shooting for any rank but it would have been cool to get fi of 300, some other time i guess. |
