Tisiphone (Little Upsilon) | Thursday, April 23, 2009 - 11:07 pm Before i leave, i thought i'd point out a few things that would be fast and easy to implement, and be a positive change from my experience as a user. *0: Show both deployed and undeployed weapons and ammo in the information screens and nominal value calculations. 1. A symbol that appears next to a state corporation when it is able to be publically offered, saving the trouble of having to check through all of them. Or even simpler, th name appears a different colour. 2. The ability to mass delete (maybe checkbox?) account messages. This is a problem if i receive 30 messages saying 'your cash market bid has been rejected,' and have to delete each seperately. 3. In the menu for buying weapons, add a column informing the user how many of the weapons in stock are active. 4. Create a screen in "My Empire" that allows the user to change the name, president picture and flag, supply quality, default trade strats, upgrade settings, secrecy, automation etc etc, for more than one country at a time. 5. Create a page where war protection can be enable/disabled for more than one country at a time. 6. In the process of buying shares, i often make the silly mistake of entering a price for them, and forgetting to click 'limited price' instead of the preselected 'market price.' Having to redo the bid is tiresome, especially if i am doing this for 100+ corporations. Perhaps the game can automatically select 'limited price' if a number is entered into the box? 7. I know you guys are working on a new cash market, but a refresh link for its pages would be a positive move. If i am tracking the progress of a bid on something, it is annoying to have to click "Bid for population/countries/cash" and then "My bids for population/countries/cash" just to see what has happened. (With the new portal, refreshing your browser on the cash market returns you to the home page.) Thanks for reading, and any suggestions from others would be welcome. |
Tendo Ryu (Golden Rainbow) | Thursday, April 23, 2009 - 11:48 pm Another one, Stop letting my population die because my total pop is 105M and rapidly falling. Only a few months ago i was able to maintain a population higher than this, now i am losing anything up to 90k per month, now with GR running 4 months (which i find a positive change) i am losing the best part of 400k workers per RL day! The limit is 120M, so why make it impossible to maintain a population of that level? I left this game in 2005 because W3C started limiting the population of countries, back then my pop was in excess of 200M. I LIKE having countries with a high pop level, 100M+ is ok, that is the limit W3C have set so let us maintain at that level... pwease... |
Tisiphone | Friday, April 24, 2009 - 12:22 am Thats not a simple game change like i was trying to ask people for. |
Psychotic Chicken (Little Upsilon) | Friday, April 24, 2009 - 07:37 am All good suggestions Tisiphone. I would like to suggest appointing a forum monitor who can move suggestions to the suggestions forum. Tendo, The section in the documentation that explains population growth is one of the few sections of the docs that are very clear. Population dynamics whether they are real or simulated are complex. Overpopulated Simcountries have a lower birth rate If W3C added something like a requirement to grow your own food or epidemic disease you would not like the results in your overpopulated country. An alternative way to control population would be to remove secure mode for countries over 100M. That would be more fun IMO. |
Zdeněk Pavlovský (Little Upsilon) | Friday, April 24, 2009 - 08:58 am I too have suggestion: Merge GR, WG, KB and FB to one world, with war enabled. Remove war from LU and let those from merging worlds to pick where they want to transfer/stay. That frees up 3 servers not being used while opening possibilities for experiments like test server, free server, flat fee server, server with resets, sever without Cash market etc etc Now, everyone post their suggestions, so we can move on. |

Siva . (Little Upsilon) | Friday, April 24, 2009 - 04:26 pm What if LU people want to be able to war? Will we have the option to move our empires to the merged world? |
ShcyzMattiCa (Little Upsilon) | Friday, April 24, 2009 - 04:45 pm I think Tuco is on to something. I like that idea alot. Maybe WG would be a better alternative to disable war rather than LU. |
Zdeněk Pavlovský (Golden Rainbow) | Saturday, April 25, 2009 - 02:17 pm Oh you think so I am onto something? I highly doubt that, because I am not voice of reason. Merging servers is common in the world of MMOs, but what applies elsewhere does not apply here for some reason. Yes Siva, basically anyone would be able to choose where to move or if to stay. Whats the point of war on LU when its not allowed to attack other players? To be able to salvage inactives? That is why people spend trillions on military assets? That is why they hamper their economic performance and cut profits by paying monthly upkeep? WOW! I am flattened with such reason! |
Kiteless (Kebir Blue) | Saturday, April 25, 2009 - 03:13 pm It would save a little time and effort if the country names mentioned in the newspaper articles were clickable |
Psychotic Chicken (White Giant) | Sunday, April 26, 2009 - 07:07 am good idea kiteless. While modifying the paper they should get rid of the duplicate messages and also total all events in a month. |
