Tuesday, March 31, 2009 - 01:05 pm  So far we have found the following errors and are correcting them right now. 1. Some detail pages have a wrong header text. 2. The user profiles are wrong. Data is scrambled but will be corrected soon. 3. The top-of-the-page menu, when opened, causes some flickering on the pages. (IE only) 4. When you hide the header and bring it back, you need a refresh or click on Home to really get it back (Firefox only). 5. Many pages are not implemented with Ajax yet. This causes the screen to refresh and takes a little longer to load. We will implement Ajax to all the pages in the coming days and install them when they are done. This will improve performance and prevent the complete repaint. 6. Some pages repaint the complete screen instead of showing under the header. Example: vote news. It will be corrected. We will keep looking for more.

The new format hurts my eyes and I no longer am active enough for two hours of tinkering with settings (two hours that I'd rather devote to other pursuits) to be worth it. Kinda like the option that Windows Vista had to revert to the "classic" start menu.

| Tuesday, March 31, 2009 - 02:40 pm It only takes about two minutes to change the portal back in terms of color and patern. It's pretty easy to do. These are my settings:
Basically, all backgrounds are either black or grey, text is white and the buttons are blue. I also changed my country and enterprise widgets back to lists, instead of thumbnails. But I have to say, the default is theme is pretty bad. :/ On the My Account widget, it no longer states when the account was registered.

With the new format all I can see is Mother Nature  Thanks for changing it back to the list like it was before. T.T I open my country in new tab switch to it...and when i go back to main tab everything goes black and i have to reload it every single time unless i sit there and wait for it to load (horribly horribly slow). | Friday, April 3, 2009 - 07:41 am I like Pathetic Sheep's idea of not having to go back and forth to the portal to switch to different countries in the same Empire...quicker. I'm here to add to the list of complainers that are having difficulty going from my countries to the portal...I too keep getting locked out and Internet Explorer can't find the page even if I start a new page or refresh or whatever I do for about 5-15 minuets. It's very frustrating...please stabilize the portal.

| Friday, April 3, 2009 - 02:51 pm I got used to the change already and cant wait for more options like ability to group countries and CEOs by world rather than by Countries and Enterprises, or ability to let me drag stuff around the screen to allow me for my own optimization of links i use most, or perhaps way to change fonts and size of certain links. Yes, to access countries and enterprises without going to portal would save me, and hopefully others, lot of bother. Yes, I've been experiencing some slow downs since the portal changed, and even if Im not too confident Ajax will win the league, I can only believe they will keep up the goal scoring tempo. Go Ajax!

The Revert button still doesnt work, and when Im in the cashmarket, and I hit the back button on my browser, it backs me up to my country, and I have to go back to the portal page all over again, and go back in through the cash market, and whatever link I want to go to. If you guys can just fix the revert button so we can revert back to the old layout... I'd be forever grateful.

| Thursday, April 9, 2009 - 11:33 pm For the game news, click on game news in the link bar under the menu. we might add a gadget that will show up only if there are changes in game news or vote news. The world gadgets were removed because of performance issues after the change. now, with performance issues behind us, we can bring them back. Instead, next week, we will add a feature that will allow you to choose the gadgets you want, including the world boxes. Footer bar???? if you have any remaining problems with the new setup, please describe in details and we will solve it. There will be more on performance next week as we have already improved more pages and are working on more short cuts.

| Friday, April 10, 2009 - 05:47 am "footer bar" is probably not the technical term. I was imagining links across the bottom of the page. It would be fine to put it the top area. In "my empire" add "login as>". The bottom of the page is empty so it seamed like a good place.
