LOL...its not a donation sweetie...its a fee..the cost you pay...just as if you were buying a movie ticket or going to the ballet.
And pretty cheap entertainment at that. |

Till this last 3 months I have never payed coins to play. I paid for a year before. But now it seems I am having to pay GC and cash. |

Sort of. You pay your cash, then you can use the resultant GC in anyway you like, including extending your empire.....
Quite a fair way methinks. There are far worse payment systems out there in internet land. |

If you buy boosters in you secure country you do not have to pay gc directly. |

The game is definitely more difficult to play. cash seems scarce. If i war'd now the way i did in the past I would be bankrupt. |
