Thursday, March 26, 2009 - 10:39 pm The Simcountry Wiki completes three years today. As my gift, I added as much of the Game News as I could, including today's release. The Game News are distributed by year and then month. You can quickly access each issue with the navbox on the bottom of each page. These Game News haven't been editted to exclude information, but to include the entries that have been deleted from Simcountry's Game News. I have some Game News reporting to 2002 and 2003, but those serve little purpose. On the other hand, I'm missing the first eight months of 2004. If anyone has them, please added them to the Wiki. I see BorderC has been creating some articles to help new players. Here they are: http://simcountry.wikia.com/wiki/Country_Leveling_Guide http://simcountry.wikia.com/wiki/Purchasing_Military_Units http://simcountry.wikia.com/wiki/Creating_an_Army Expand the Wiki for everyone's benefit and curiosity. Make a contribution today (and for the rest of your life - muhahaha!) Laguna

Thursday, March 26, 2009 - 11:04 pm Its true Dragoon. When a newb asks me for help, I tell them what I know, and also point them in the direction of the Wiki. Its a really good tool and whoever contributes should be proud of themselves for leaving a lasting mark on SC.

Monday, March 30, 2009 - 04:34 am This is all very good stuff. Thanks to all, and laguna, who have done the bulk of the work. Old farts such as myself, can barely navigate wiki, let alone contribute.

Tuesday, March 31, 2009 - 02:48 am just a few things i dont wanna directly edit your wiki since i dont wanna tamper with your work and i didnt but skim over it a bit so i dont know for sure you didnt put this in there but i would mention that you dont need so much gc to invest from the get go as you can totaly finance the ceo on credit since the max limit is like 20T last i checked when i went about lv 5ing all the worlds and its best to use a combination of all strategies fast building buying gm corps and taking over true publics with as little as the cost of 1 share or as much as 51% depending on the situation and ofcourse get it all done in less than a month and your golden. starting ceo before country definately necesary if your not good at taking the publics but otherwise u can do the ceo to 200 corps in 3 days was my personal best. as far as the country leveling i would also bring up best to start with the c3 country, get the little bit o army needed to take over 2 other c3s right quick take their teachers doctors mlm etc you will need before adding the pop so you get the right ratio for those high indexes and army as well as finance index reqs. would also mention that you need to hold the indexes above the benchmarks for a period of time cant be just a few hours in some cases so plan that far ahead atleast to get all goals achieved at the same time. cant tell you how many times that set me back on the slow world of FB the last world i hit lv 5 on lol. also its good to remember the lagging weighted average the way the indexes are calculated can come in handy for instance you mess stuff up that will drop your FI from 180 to 80 but the other stuff catches up to the goals so you hit the lv and then later drop back down when your FI falls below limit kind of thing it can be done... also i would mention lv 6 is totaly doable with only 2 countries but not the type of thing you want to sustain or try to achieve for long periods of time cuz then you end up with an old empire with all those retirees and the military is expensive as hell in terms of opportunity cost of income if they were workers and ammo usage... i took my sweet time for like 3 months and then cuz i was buying so much pop i ended up with like 20% retirees of pop per country and had to demolish all my hospitals to start killing them off and had wasted all that money on ammo and weapons thus never made it to lv 6 or lv 7 not that i had the sufficient army even then but still i had everything else but DI and i just could not afford it for i think i had like 6 countries at that time.

Wednesday, April 1, 2009 - 04:13 pm Thanks shaun. I added in several of your good comments to the wiki. Like I said before, I don't pretend to know half of what everybody else here knows, but I'm happy to do this because it helps the several of us who spend a lot of time in chat assisting new players. If you have comments but don't want to make edits to the page, feel free to leave the comment on the Discussion section of the page. The Discussion tab is on the top right of the page. This will be very helpful in keeping the information accurate and up to date. Thanks, BC
