| Wednesday, January 28, 2009 - 10:09 pm Well we already have federation and fed branch PRIVATE chat rooms via SC chat. I see no need to place extra forums just for federations. The game needs so many other things done that are in my opinion much more important, like fixing KNOWN bugs and issues with the gameplay and interfaces. I am all for making the game more communication friendly, but the GM's can only do so much at one time due to the size of their staff. Their efforts are needed much more in pivotal areas of the game. Once they fix the real problems I will favor dressing up the parlor a bit to attract more players if that is what it will take, no problem. Right now is just the wrong time is all. Be patient Paul. I liken it to Manny's two year long war with Tom and Jozi to institute TRAINS. I'm sure there are a few players still left here that remember that entertaining time of SimCountry. All the kicking and screaming won't force them to do something they don't want to do. T.

| Wednesday, January 28, 2009 - 10:10 pm it will bring more people to the game means more actvity menas more money for the game company if you have one people will be able to chat on the federatiion with out leave there country page if you use the federation chat which not many ppl seam to use it puts a extra window up on the computer if you use a external forum site there getting the trade for people playing this game and again it takes people away from the main screen of the game but every are acting lick brown and blair and any otherr government offical not giveing a direct answer only a indirect one whats so bad with having a internal forum for federation use instead of the chat window another good reason is federation members can look back on things or join in on convosation/chat about a subject instead of ever one being one at a certain time

| Wednesday, January 28, 2009 - 10:14 pm Many larger federations have their own websites set up with forums included in them. Why not get a freewebs site dedicated to your federation if they have none already? It serves the same purpose and is free to start up. In order for it to be successful though, one needs a good member to administer the site. Just a suggestion.

| Wednesday, January 28, 2009 - 10:22 pm I don;t know if you understand but the GM's and programmers for this site can maybe fill a sardine can. Extremely small staff. To have them totally change the forums and the design would take them away from other really pressing issues. I suggest waiting for the next "Jozi Chat" on IRC and bringing it up in person to them then. They used to have these chats between the GM's and players every month or so, but lately have been fewer and farther in between. | Wednesday, January 28, 2009 - 11:03 pm Paul, a while a go some bright spark came up with the great idea of having a blog for each player too. It was a great addition......for about a week. Then people stopped updating them. I feel that dedicated federation forums would go the same way and be nothing more than a waste of server space and development time. There is no need to have them as most larger feds have their own websites. These can be created easily and for free if you take up T's suggestion of looking at freewebs.com. I would rather the few GM's that there are (3 I think), spend their time on sorting out the known bugs in the game, and improving how SC plays rather than add new things that will only be used by a small minority of people. MSN is another good tool. I have every major player on my MSN friends list, and that is where most of the wars, boycotts and tactical planning is done.

Oh and Paul saying that your spelling is getting worse because no one is really answering your question is bull shit and I will call you on it since no one else has. the word you are trying to spell is PRIVATE. The reason W3C hasn't implemented a private forum feature is because: 1 They have been so generous as to give us World Forums. 2 They have given us our very own chat spaces. 3 The quality of these forums are not very good in the fact that they do not keep track of posts that you have read and the ones that you need to read. 4 It holds a very high possibility that these forums are not able to have a private feature.
