This is probably a noob question, but I can't find my answer.
If I am producing something and it can be used by another one of my corporations, does my corp get it first? or do I have to set something so that I get to buy that item first?

No your other corps wont get it first. It will just sell randomly on the world market. If you want though you can set up a contract between your corporations (although this will probably be less profitable for both); go into the corp page scroll down near bottom to the buying supplies and selling products areas, and find "review corporation contracts", there you can sell products/buy supplies between your corporations with contracts. |

Alexander is right, but as your corporations upgrade doing this will cut heavily into your profits. As your product quality increases so does the amount that you pay to get that quality.
