I tried to close a corp in a country that I am using to adjust my pop and got the following message:
Sorry, there is no economic sense in closing this corporation.
I have never had this message before, nor have I read of it on the forums. |

Did you just aquire the country?
If you did, wait a couple of game months, then you'll have the ability to close the corp. |

I was also unable to close a corp. It was in a country I recently acquired so maybe that is why. I wondered when I would be able to. |

It's just a help mechanism to make a new president think about "why" he would want to close a profitable corporation. After a few game months he has the ability to close the corporation as he "is" ultimately the owner of the corp. |
